a point could be made for revokin guns from all sorts of groups of people but inherently these would probably ALL be wrong (i cant think of a scenario where i could be in favor of revokin certain peoples guns but i wont say there might be some logical instances that exist that id get behind)Maybe they should revoke the gun permits of people who use alcohol as well.
just figured id quote that cuz its a great and true quoteHe who would trade liberty for some temporary security, deserves neither liberty nor security
would you tell us/expand on as to why you think this is good and are in favor of itGood, sounds like a heaping dose of common sense to me.
im not sure they shouldThey should restrict this to people who have severe mental health issues, bipolar, manic, etc.
and i know that wasnt your quote that i quoted for truth but if you believe in what Benjamin Franklin said how does this idea you have stack up with that?
no it should notHaving a little depression and anxiety shouldn't bar you from owning a gun.
does banning other things work? prostitution? drugs? You either ban them in the entire nation or not at all.
but guns probably shouldnt be a free for all.
gun laws are tough b/c it really makes you step back and take a look at society. whether your for more gun control or less or whatever i think it should be accepted that our society needs work and many many things need to be evaluated n addressed if we wish to live in a safer world/life
im for the most part pro gun. n although you didnt outright say it im not convinced society would be safer if all that was done was to arm each n every individual, i dont really like it when gun advocates use this argument/make this claim. i dont think its correct and i think it kinda undermines the legitimacy of the pro gun arguementIf everyone had a gun people would think twice about fucking with someone.

Notice how they haven't had any murders lately? Just increased assaults and burglary. Not to sound prejudice or anything but that could just be a border control problem.
are you saying its mexicans commiting all these assualts and burglaries?
but i find it unlikely all this crime was being committed by mexicans/hispanics. the towns demographics are ~87%white and ~24%hispanic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tombstone,_Arizona (i know those %s dont add up but thats the way it was on other sources too i guess you can hit mulitple boxes on census or however they measure those things) i mean sure maybe the small % of the population does have a higher proportion of crime, then again maybe it doesnt but i doubt its
because of these peoples ethnicity if thats what was being implied. tho maybe it wasnt perhaps you were referring to secuirity issues along the boarder all over the SW, maybe you were i dunno
but also guns play roles in assaults and burglaries, guns can help people kill someone just as they can help someone assult or rob people.
But most of what your tAlking about could be avoided if someone would teach kids from an early age how to handle and respect guns.
YES!
but not only that but how to handle n respect the concept of community, respect other people, situations and emotions that are all just a part of everyday life. i believe attempting to do these types of things might have a more positive impact on guns, gun violence, other gun crimes and our society in general personally
I agree with the point you were trying to make, but that's such a bullshit ranking. There's no way that Texas (#5) is freer than Colorado (#16) or California (#37). Texas is practically a police state!
im not sure man, i mean aside from draconian drug laws and lots of lingering racial inequalities (which granted are not indicative of a free society) i can very easily see Texas as being one of the more free'er states (whatever that suppossed to mean, i didnt read the whole PDF but i know they went on to somewhat attempt to explain it)
