Hi all, thanks for reading my post. A little about me, i've been using cocaine for about 10 years now, not many drugs out there that i haven't tried (at least the conventional ones such as acid, shrooms, weed, MDMA, speed, crack etc. i don't know much about all these new age chemical formulations that keep popping up all over the place!). I've been in treatment three times but always relapse, I guess i'm just not ready to stop yet. I'm from the UK and have been reading the posts for a few weeks now but decided to take the plunge and register and start to get a bit more involved. Hope to hear from some of you soon. Cheers. ILC

Nice one Spork! There's so much information on this website, its a bit of an overload tbh!! Can't wait to start getting involved in some threads! :)

Welcome ILC!

So are you looking for online support to get and stay clean? There's plenty here. Not much coke experience for me. I'm an opiate man. Best of luck. Look into threads in The Dark Side...

Cheers PNM, i will definitely do that! I use every day and still go to meetings, i just guess i'm not ready to stop using yet.... one day i'm sure the time will come! :) cheers for the welcoming hello! :)

Welcome, ILC! I'm new too. But not to drugs. I've pretty much tried them ask all too, & had a yearlong addiction to tooting & shooting coke myself. Expensive habit. I quit cold turkey when the drug literally started giving me more pain than pleasure with my aching sinuses.

For me I didn't hit rock bottom. Alcohol was my most serious problem. Hopefully for your sake you won't need a rock bottom either. Sometimes rock bottom and death are separated by a fine line. I just came to the realization through a confluence of events that it was getting worse, not better. If you get to that spot, and you start seeing more and more signs that it's getting worse, it's time to start considering the solution.

The only solution, for me, is a spiritual solution to my physical malady. It just works. And I don't believe in a god. I have a higher power. Maybe it's saved my life.

For now, may I suggest you begin by starting to get brutally honest with yourself, about why you use, about what you have to do to use, about why you don't feel ready yet, etc. Maybe you're loaded and the cash is not a problem. Maybe you have to do some things you're not proud of to get cash in order to score??

I don't know you, of course, so please don't take my humble advice as judgement or as me being condescending. I just want the very best for every human in the world, esp the ones I come into contact with, even if it's just our online communications.

Keep us posted on how you're doing.

warmest regards,
pnm
