This is the structure:

It's not a cathinone, cathinones have a double bonded oxygen at the beta position (where the two hydroxyl groups are). I assume it would be legal, but I don't know because I can't find the actual text of the legislation, if anyone has a link I'd appreciate it. Yeah, it'll contain meph, but that didn't stop the vendors selling loads of products that were labelled as "Eric's Super Fury" or w/e that were just meph (and doesn't stop US vendors selling 4-AcO-DMT that contains psilocin).
 
^^yeah I'd have thought it would come under the catch-all cathinone ban.

Also sounds like total BS, even 4-MEC is still illegal here.

I have read somewhere, but don't know if it's legit, that the ACMD warned about this and said to ban the pro-drugs of the cathinones too, but they ignored it (for once their total ignorance towards scientific data might work in our favour). I think maybe it doesn't degrade as easily as leaving it out to air moisture, but I guess that depends on the stability? I would still assume that any batch will have a small yet significant amount of the real deal in it, making it defacto illegal.

Very interesting. Here is the law itself I believe:

It would be legal if it did not contain any actual cathinones... however it remains to be seen how this works in practice if it really is as unstable as the vendor claims. If it was only promeph whilst vacuum sealed, we'd have a Schrodingers cat on our hands wouldn't we...

I read somewhere that it only turns into mephedrone when exposed to water and acid, so the acid part might save it from being illegal. as soon as you put it in your mouth it would probably turn into it. could put some in orange juice as well.
 
Wow! as much as I hate this cat-and-mouse game we RC consumers have to play... Ya gotta admit, its fucking HILARIOUS!

They ban amphetamines, we make cathinones.
They ban cathinones, we make pro-cathinones =D

Next they'll be synthing up pro-pro-mephedrone.

The manufacturers state that you need water and acid to activate it, so it would be alright as water isn't acidic, at least the stuff in the air anyway I don't think.
 
In that case, let the good times roll. I've "hit the red button" for my sample so fingers crossed. We could be in for another naughty but legal summer like 2009. :D

Being able to get Mephedrone legally to my door again will feel so much better than having to get it off a dealer. :D Peace of mind and all that shite!

I'd like to hear someone opinions of people who know more about chemistry!
