Re

I have been to every walgreens within 100 miles of where i live and the walgreens staff at every store tells me that when they put in an order for oxycodone er in any strength if it does not come when ordered then they can no longer get it. The pharmicist told me he contacted the main warehouse that all walgreens get thier drugs from and was told that once they deplete the current supply they won't be able to get any more. They still have some 40 mg's but are out of the 10, 20 and 60 mg's

I dont know about all that..I just got 180 80's there yesterday

@ legaljunkie, I have switched to opana since being dumbed on w op's like a lab rat 6 weeks ago. I refuse to pay a penny to purdue. I am a disabled vet whose back was ruined defending this country and the old oc's were the only med that gave me good relief w/o bad side effects. I am a cpp, and do not abuse them, so take it from a legit user, THEY ARE TOTAL GARBAGE! Unfortunately, generic oc's(ethex) are only around until supply runs out, whoever keeps these rumors going that they are around for good doesn't know what they r talking about. OP's will b only version VERY SOON!

ive heard so much about this, but i was on 2 hour road trip with script in hand,NO ONE in my ariea has generics even wallgreens,am i missing something

the person i know got lucky, he went to a bunch of places, turns out the walgreens down the street from him has them. he even called them before and they said no, but once he went in person they had them. apparently the chain stores are the way to go, and it could just be on where yer at. i'm sure yu have to be bound to find one store that has them..

Hey Mazzi, wats up bro? Do u live near city, I sure would like to get some 80s b4 there gone, and I visit my family in Brooklyn quite a bit, so if they still have em there my doc would write me as big a script as possible if he knew I could get em. So if they are well supplied let me know, thanks, there's nothing really left in Boston area so I'm on opana now, just had dose like doubled yesterday, cuz I didn't feel much at all. Thanks, and take care. BTW, are they called ethex on label for manufacturer?

Perdue pharm are selling the old OC under a genaric brand YES you can now get them

Not where I am you can't, everything in MA has been switched to brand name op's. Seems like certain areas of countries have stockpiles of generics, unfortunately we are not so lucky. That's why I asked bout NYC area, I'm from there and still visit fam often, so I would be more than willing to bring script w me on next visit if I know they're available. I've called Purdue and it's funny because they refuse to admit any generics are still available, same w the Walgreens in Boston, but I constantly see people here finding them, but it's all a null point anyways, once they run out they're gone til 2013! So I'm gonna keep tyin this opana and hopefuly have success, regardless it looks like everyone will need a new med soon enough, UNLESS THEY HAVE A RECALL ON THE OP (OXY POISON), knock on wood!

I live in Ontario Canada and there is no replacement for oxy's i know of yet. Everyone i get oxy's from still gets them and Ive have them ask there doctor if they are discontinuing them or anything of that sort and they said no. So come on up here and get your OXY's here.

Ya, lucky for us the United States is the only country to use the reformulation so far! We are the lab rats, lol! It sucks because it worked so well for me for many years and now I'm back to the drawing board, to put it mildly, the last 6 weeks of my life have been a borderline of hell :(

I think the more people who bitch about it, the more people calling Purdue to complain is only going to reinforce that they succeeded in trying to make these abuse resistant. Even if it cuts into their profits, they've made billions from this med. Shit they'll prolly patent the release/abuse action and make $ from that.

I read on the DEA site and also addiction specialist say they don't really believe Purdue, too little too late so to speak and that "they'll believe it when they see it." They need only to visit this site and many others to see the thousands of posts already about how much these suck (from abuser POV) just since they came out a very short time ago. Well my bet is the more people who show up to treatment or turn to heroin because of the new OC's will only reinforce that this was a successful move on Purdue's part.

Old school OC's are gone gone gone :( ...doesn't mean nothing else will pop up but now that Purdue has pulled this off DEA/FDA will presure others to do the same.

none of these so-called 'methods' for oc extraction really work imo. 95% of em are placebo affects, and the other 5% are debatable if they work or not. can you still get ethex generic oxycodone ER tablets that are the old (good) ones? or any other manufacturer?

2013??

And that's what I've been wondering, how the new formula compares to the old for legitimate users in pain. I only know of one person who takes OxyContin legitimately for pain, my girlfriend's grandmother, and she hasn't said anything about the new formula.

It sucks, too, because she's prescribed the 80s, and we found her last, good prescription before everything turned OP. Can you imagine holding an entire prescription in your hand of the old OC 80s, knowing that it would be the last time? We didn't take any, of course, but man... it was hard to let them go lol

In canada theres a new oxycodone formulation out with naloxone in it. It's called Targin and is the same as oxycontin except for the fucking narcan in it :X . I havent seen it on the streets at all yet nor heard of anyone with a script for it but im sure it's coming.

Thankfully i just chew them up and eat them cause i think shooting oxy is a waste of time anyway but still if they try this with morphine or worse hydromorphone :X im going to kill someone!

I know for a fact that the Oxycontin OP is UNAVAILABLE in my area. After calling about 10 pharmacies I got the same answer from all. And to boot 3 of the pharmacists told me that they were being recalled....so take that for what its worth....this was the first week of May and I am in PA.

We don't allow these types of threads anymore because they're nothing but speculation.

Plus, this sort of information (which states may or may not have the OC or OP formulation available) belongs in a regional forum.
