New opioid users thread a.k.a. I didn't feel anything!?

No the pill is made up of multi layers , theres the coating which is almost like a wax .. then half of the pill is immediate release with the other half slowly being released over 8-12 hours ..

what i think happens with the coating is when the pill is swallowed it allows water to breakthrough and start releasing the immediate release portion then when all the coating has come off thats when the time release part starts ... but this is all theory of course lol %)

No offense but joint pain/aches/insomnia sounds like withdrawal to me but if those were the only symptoms you experienced then I'd say you got off pretty light!

What do you mean like was done in rehab? They used methadone to move you off your drug of choice? How long were you in rehab for?

well the joint pain came after everything was out of my system, theres no avoiding that.. and insomnia, they tried 100 diff types of sleeping pills, although no narcotics, they would work for a day or 2 then stop.. Yeah they used methadone to surpess the extreme withdrawls i would of face with out it... I was given 25 mg of methadone in the morning at night, then tappered it down and done after 4 days.. I was in rehab for 28 days...

everyone is differend, i beleive it is possible to not get any euphoria from opiates as i experience the same thing

at first i tought that was going, but with further experimenting i found that high doses didnt even seem to work for social anxiety, while when taken with some ritalin they definatly did (ritalin totally changed the experience, from barely a high to a high that seems simular to whats described here)

Everyone is different and not everyone does get that euphoria high from opiates.. a good friend of mine just gets EXTREMELY sick then gets all anxious feeling like he cant relax.. the total opposite of most people.

Well your prescribed these medications like you say .. then obviously you need them .. so just get down to a point where you can still control your pain at a lower level of meds ..

what i dont understand is that you say youve been to rehab on more than occasion .. do you honestly need these meds .. because anyone with real pain , taking the meds as prescribed .. DOESNT end up in rehab ... id talk to your doctor and have your prescriptions put down to an amount that allows you just enough to get by .. because whatever your doing right now , isnt working ...

Well I did take my meds as prescribed but I built up a tolerance to them extremely fast... and they stopped working as well... then stopping working completely, So i did what I probably shouldnt have and increased my dose on my own to get rid of the pain.. and no what im doing right now isnt working at all..

Which is all of a more reason to talk to your doctor .. as soon as i notice my tolerance affecting the way my meds work , im in my doctors office on my monthly scheduled visit letting him know .. ive only ever changed my dosage as long as it doesnt use more than my whole days dose.

Odd, because usually your first dance with opiates results in you getting way to high and puking like a mad man.lol Then again you did do a weaked one. Hmm odd.

I know from personal experiance some ppl can be naturally more tolerance than others but not by an outstanding amount.

Tard this guy is sayin that he did 80mg in one sitting and still didnt feel shit all .. do you find that odd . cuz me and memphis along with a few others are calling shenanigans.

i added in g a few hours ago and i was nodding (also ritalin) and i had some closed eye visuals pretty crazy

i did like 15 mg hydromorphone (not at once) and a half g of yayo the other night....

when I woke up i looked at my pills I had 10 and there was only 4 in the bag... I was like... wtf did i dun do ???????

:!

sooo fun

the only time i have ever enjoyed them is with weed. But damn do i love um with weed but I'm way too afraid of becoming addicted to fuck around with anything stronger than hydro

The first few times I drank poppy tea I didn't really feel much. just a little relaxed and a little itchy. The last time I really felt anything from tea I ended up getting really sick the next day, a combination of the flu and a hangover from the tea. It was pretty awful.

I took 15mg of vicoden and since I had just eaten I just felt nauseous and puked, and by time that little ordeal was over, I barely felt anything but tired. I took another 5mg, but it was too late. That bummed me out.

Took some percocet, 15mg if I remember right, and felt great at first, but then I got this weird sensation in my ears that bugged me, like closing my eyes shut really hard. I don't know how to explain it? Anyway, my friends said I was extremely quiet (usually I'm very talkative and loud). Overall I liked it except for the weird feeling, especially laying back and closing my eyes while they had drunken conversations. I felt very peaceful and could almost make out some CEV's (probably just placebo effect though).

Last time I took some percocet I only took like 10mg and I felt really good, but it was definitely very subtle. I liked it, I just need to take small doses so I don't feel sick. I don't ever see myself getting hooked, but once in a while it's a nice little treat :)

I think the feeling you describe is what we call "ear flutters" a kind of tightness/ twitching in the ears right?

IC that we are still debating wether people are defying the laws of the body/mind/opiates huh?

pointless i say! pointless!

Maybe, I dunno if I'd call it twitching. But hell, it's the best description I've heard. I'll have to do a search now cause that feeling was really the only thing that bothered me that night....

Do you think I'm someone who responds much less to opiates?

Hi, I just need some opinions about whether or not I'm one of those people who doesn't experience the same elation from opiates. The answer is probably yes, but I'm not in a position to say, and I need some feedback regarding my response to certain doses.

OK, so I've used codeine a number of times, perhaps 20-30. Initially it was definitely more effective, but when I took several long breaks of many months and tried the drug again, it was still less potent, even at doses as high as 480mg. This produces some annoying itching, usually some physical sickness, and quite a lot of sedation. However as far as elation goes, it does very little. Why did I keep trying it? I guess out of boredom mostly, if I didn't have any cannabis, some of the 60mg pure codeine tablets I had were still appealing.

Next I tried buprenorphene, briefly. Again, it was pretty mild, although my doses didn't exceed 2.5mg.

However, next was oxycodone. Again, other effects were strong, but even at the highest dose I tried, 180mg oral, with almost no tolerance, I've had more elation from a moderate dose of tranquillizers. I just felt so sedated, I could hardly keep my eyes open.

So, is it normal for someone who doesn't experience much elation to still have the other effects of sedation, sickness, and itching? Which as I've said, still seem very potent. Surely if the odds of the product being weak with three different opiates would be very low?

Thanks for any feedback, I just need some confirmation.

Take it from an opiate addict like myself, that is a good thing that you do not experience the euphoria from opiates. Sure it sucks that you don't really have the body for them, but its better than being an addict. Perhaps you are trying to high of a dose?

Some people are not compatible with certain drugs, so as you know you cant get your rocks off with opiates, so find something else that sends you flying. At least you ar not allergic I have seen an ex swallow 5mg of morphine and puke for 6 hours straight.

I was kinda disappointed the first few times i did opiates. After enough dabbling I learned to appreciate the subtle clear headed energetic high of oxycodone and hydrocodone.
Once you know what to expect and learn to appreciate the feelings you're basically fucked.

There was a massive thread about this sort of thing not too long ago , its perfectly normal , some people lack certain enzymes for particular opiates or just never aquaint themselves with the feeling . remember all people are different , thats why theres so many different medications in the world because some dont work like they work on others .

ie codeine and morphine dont work for me in anyway except for those side effects that you noted in the first paragraph .. oxycodone and the like on the other hand i definatly notice ..

but take some of these peoples advice , try not to get used to the effects because it can be terrible for alot of people once they start to liek the effects . can lead to all sorts of things such as tolerance , addiction , money loss etc ..
