I am happy to know that our support is helpful to you
That is what is important in life, in my opinion. To reach out to others and try to help. Especially when you feel like shit yourself. It really does make your heart feel lighter to know you have a positive impact on someone else.
As for the brain zaps, I know what you mean. I have had those before when I take xanax for a short while. To me, since I have so many other fucking health problems lol, they aren't too bad or scary....guess that just goes to show you how fucked up my health is lol. But yeah, if you have had a seizure before, definitely be careful. I dunno how much or how long you were taking benzos at 19.
Good on you for telling your friend "no more". That takes strength. I am proud of you
As far as the temptation to take the other right now, ask yourself, how awful do you really feel right now? Probably not as bad as you have been feeling, yes? Are you lying to yourself, telling yourself to take it to "get it over with"? Do you really need it right now? we all know you must pay the piper when coming off of opiates, unfortunately. Personally I would not take it. I would wait as long as possible and then not take the whole thing, to maybe make the wd a bit less harsh, but not too comfortable. Remember, the more you do in a shorter period of time, the more you are resetting yourself back to square one. The less you do over a longer period of time, the less you are resetting yourself back to square one and the more likely it is you will just get a mild and short relief and reprieve.
You are doing fucking AWESOME and we are all proud of you and pulling for you.
Keep posting!
Peace.
