New bill up, banning "bath salts"-US

There is no way to say that meph is safer then meth. Meph has only recently hit the scene, with it actually only being available for a few years. That is an insignificant time frame in determining dangers associated with a drug.

Which is why I don't do RC's or care what happens to them.

No, I'm basing my position on my own experience with meph. I was just saying in the first place that is meph was to ever be the epidemic that meth currently is, would be bad. They are both highly addictive.

I use it 2-3x a week.

There's a big difference between fiendish and addictive. IME if one runs out of meph the party stops. If one runs out of meth they're looking for their next hit.

I only binged on meph twice because I had like 25g and wasn't worried about running out. I found a binge of 500mg in a single day to have significantly less side effects than a couple lines of good coke. After my binges I never woke up the next day craving more meph and really felt like taking a couple weeks off.

My friends who have binged on meph get sick for like a day (mostly from sinus issues causing nausea, try snorting a g of anything in a day and you're going to have sinus issues) and then just stop.

Meph is a lot more like "cheap coke with less hangover" than meth. People who tweak constantly change mentally and physically and become physically addicted; people who binge on meph are mostly doing it because it can be fiendish if you're snorting or IVing it.

I do seem to be in the minority of people who use mephedrone responsibly. But I still think meph binging is safer than alcohol binging or chain smoking, and when compared to tweaking fiendishly it really is apples to oranges IME.

Meph has been available for a couple years, how much data is really needed before it is taken seriously and not just shoved into a "RC unknown" category?

Here's a link where you can track the progress of the bill. Posted it in another thread but forgot to put it here.

Even though I loved mephedrone and MDPV, methylone is the one I'll be saddest to see go, if only for it's therapeutic potential. Alexander Shulgin obviously saw its potential for medical use, as he patented it rather than any of the other 300+ PiHKAL/TiHKAL chems.

Time to stock up.

Great link....

You know Im glad the government is being so nice and giving us ample time to stock up =D

yup sad to see any chemical get scheduled... And its sadder still because the only people this bill could help, people with no frame of reference taking unknown amounts of god knows what in gas station "bath salts", are only going to be subjected by a new round of even more unknown and untested chemicals after they make the current ingrediants illegal... This "legal high" fad is not going away and will remain until the drug war is ended.

Be careful with stocking up on some of these stuffs. Have 10 grams of MDPV lying around and *really* get started on a binge with it, and you're screwed... I wouldn't risk it myself, cuz it could literally be suicide.

girlygrrl have you ever sampled methamphetamine?

Personally I have not tried methamp. So admittedly I may be a little biased since I've lost friends to methamp addiction and haven't actually tried it personally.

I havent sampled methamphet either (i'd love to in the future, potentially though..) and i havent ever had "confirmed" mephedrone, but I'd be willing to bet methamphetamine is a lot easier on your heart than meph, and I'd also be willing to bet meph is more neurotoxic than methamphetamine.

Meth seems pretty bad imo and anything worse I could not bare. The thought of meth makes me cringe. I've never done it but I have also never heard anything positive about it.

Stigma doesn't necessarily reflect the...uhhhh....like real risks/effects of droogz
heroin is a lot more stigmatized than OC when heron isnt really much/if at all worse for you than OC....

It depends on how you use it I suppose. I haven't ever had any heart issues on mephedrone. But I'm also not bombing 400mg and snorting lines all night long either.

For me mephedrone is the type of stim to take to go out dancing, or to hang out with friends and be super sociable. It mixes nice with small amounts of alcohol, and 120mg or so is about all the more I ever feel like taking at once, maybe a redose or two if I'm going to be going for a long time, but the redoses are always smaller amounts like 40-60mg.

I have snorted it but I really don't like having sinus migraines so I don't do that anymore. I have done thumbprints under the tongue before and that was almost equivalent to snorting without the nasal issues.

It also is fun to take 60mg of meph with 200mg mdma as pure mdma for me is actually pretty sedating so the meph gives an extra boost of energy and a bit more euphoria. I always predose with magnesium for this combo because it completely eliminates jaw clenching...otherwise the clenching is really bad IME.

I think methamp is probably ok if taken orally, I mean they do prescribe it medically for various things. But when people start vaporizing it that seems to be super moreish and addicting to the point that it really changes who they are and focuses them on staying high indefinitely vs. enjoying the experience.

I don't want to be one of these drug elitists that demonizes a substance. So many people demonize mephedrone and I've had a lot of good vibes from it.

But then again I have met people that thought getting high off chlorine tablet fumes was fun, and so I have to draw the line somewhere, and when I notice someone goes from being happy and healthy to unemployed and anorexic and stealing to support their habit it makes it a bit harder to look at things objectively.

I think the main issues with mephedrone are that people either do not get the real thing (there are many cathinones sold as mephedrone that are not mephedrone, and many bath salt mixes that contain mdpv) or they are just taking ridiculously large quantities of it trying to "roll". If you want to "roll" please do yourself a favor and get some mdma instead, you'll have a better experience. So it is perhaps because of the fact that I am able to do mdma when I'm in the mood for it that I can put mephedrone in its proper place and when I'm in the mood to roll I just take the real thing. <3

bahahaha....some couple in Nc got in trouble using bath salts, because their child tested positive for blow....

stay away from the salts. it ain't just meph(which is pretty good imo)

I do appreciate the advice but no worries friend, Ive had g's of PV laying around for god knows how long and I never hit it up more then twice a month, at reasonable doses with no more then one redose... I find that self control is not nearly as hard as people like to imagine it is as long as you follow strict predetermined rules (no more then x amount at x time and no more no matter how much you would like more) and never brake them. Honestly if you follow a regimine like this its hard for me to understand how any could get addicted but then I remember we all have different brain chemistries and whatnot... But still its deffinitely very possible, and Id say easy, not to get addicted to stimulants if you practice self control.

It's no different/worse than meph imo--i don't have a desire to seek out either anymore, but I don't care as much for uppers

Guys calm down about the cannabinoids, you got over excited and didn't read yet, it says "Any CB1 agonist that falls into the following chemical classification:" then they listed a bunch of things that substitute the naphthalene ring. But it still missed a billion and one cannabinoids.

Fuck looks like JWH-210 isn't covered. Dear The Government, you fucking fail immensely at everything you do, and everybody wants to kill you, sincerely, The Network.

Of course they didn't ban every cannabinoid. However the ones that are listed are the most popular ones out now, and there are literally thousands of kilos of them floating around right now. If they are made illegal that means that those thousands of kilos are most likely going to be mislabeled as something legal to be sold on the RC market. I'm not a huge fan of mislabeled Schedule 1 chemicals being sold to the masses and that is exactly what is going to happen.

NJ banned the bath salts today or last night.
From what I've gathered they've outlawed : MDPV, Meph, Fleph, M1, 3-FMC, & Methedrone.

^it's funny thought, I swear I read the above drugs were emergency scheduled in NC but I never bought them OTC until after the ban.

I don't think too many arab shops really want to take a loss on their 'bath salts' and 'plant food' and don't seem to mind selling the stuff post ban.

And now I'm in SC and none of the smoke shops carry it and only shady ghetto corner stores sell it. The type of places that already don't really play by the rules.

Until there is a federal ban the stuff is so cheap/easy to procure and so obscenely profitable it will continue to be sold despite state bans.

Even post ban new "bath salts" containing 4-fa and other still legal stimulants will come on to the market. This business plan is making so many people rich it isn't going to end anytime soon.
