Hey everyone, I have some papaver somniferum (giganteum or however it's spelled) growing in my backyard for ornamental purposes. They are about in the 1 month + phase. They're growing pretty well, but the stalks seem to not be able to hold themselves up. Is that normal? I'm uploading a video to youtube to show my situation. I have some chicken wire (or whatever it's called, I forget the name) that my friend gave me, I also have some bamboo supports, and they're both depicted in the video. Any suggestions, or will the stalks turn themselves upright? I'm thinking I may have to put the bamboo poles down and tie the stems gently to the bamboo, but I don't have any clue.
Also, I believe I have some bugs eating my plants, any solutions? Any other tips that you can give me are appreciated and welcomed.
Thanks ~Papaown
EDIT: At 0:34, the light green plant isn't papaver, I forget what it actually is. I believe it was mint.
^And also for future reference, even with 1080p the quality of this video is horrendous compared to the file on my desktop 8) Youtube sure does seem to destroy the quality lol.
