I have a doctors appointment on the 31'st of June but I leave for Manitoba on the 30th. The doctors had to push me up a day because the doctor won't be available on the 30th anymore.

The thing is, I know I can refill my script in Manitoba, but I absolutely CAN NOT fly on a plane without my Temazepam. When I don't have it and I go on a plane I get crippling anxiety attacks and can't breath. I already went thru that once (Thank god it was only a 1 hour flight), and do not want to go thru it again (This is a 4 hour flight).

I've asked the receptionist at the desk to put me in earlier but there's no spots available. Also, the ticket to Manitoba has already been bought.

What can I do about this? I've heard of people going to the ER when in desperate need of medication but that's usually for people who are in extreme pain (which I'm not), or people who are withdrawing really bad from their scripts and need to get something until their next script (I'm not addicted at all to my script, so I'm not withdrawing). I'm worried if I go to the ER and ask for some Temazepam for my flight that they'll just laugh in my face and tell me to leave.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I can not take this flight without my medication.

Simply call the doctors office, explain the situation simply and clearly and request a refill on your medication. This is common (in the US at least.)

When I called the automated system specifically said "We can not do refills over the phone".

That sucks.

That's the thing, it's not exactly a "refill" since my doctor never prescribes refills. All I have to do is make an appointment and see him and he gives me another script, but I can't do that since I leave before my appointment.

A plane ticket date change is $100. Is that a possibility?

Keep calling the doctor and telling them your situation. They gotta have a 15 minute spot somewhere before the 30th. Call everyday, twice a day.

Try a different doctor?

Try the ER?

It is a possibility, but I'd rather not waste $100 if there is a way I can optain my Temazepam. I was just asking for advice incase anyone knew if the ER was a possibility. Would they really give me Temazepam if I'm not withdrawing or in pain?

Sometimes, if you got to the pharmacy, (at least in the states) and try and refill a RX with no refills left, the pharmacy will call the doctors as a service to the customer.
You could try that- act dumb.

OR the NURSE on the PHONE CAN LEAVE A NOTE FOR YOUR DOCTOR TO LEAVE THE SCRIPT AT THE RECEPTIONIST DESK FOR YOU TO PICK UP EARLY AS MY DOC'S OFFICE DOES, WHEN I WAS ON XANAX, I CALLED AND SAID IM DUE IN 2 DAYS AND THE NURSE SAID OK I WILL TELL THE DOCTOR, AND UR SCRIPT WILL BE READY TO PICK UP IN THE MORNING, NEW YORK
