Hm, interesting to hear about the risks of inhaling alcohol, wasn't aware of that. Still as it was only 1ml of rum, so 0.4ml of actual alcohol I'm not too concerned.
Actually I think it'd be a good idea to avoid using alcohol in future because even when mixed with 2ml of water it was still difficult to get a good vapor going with the nebuliser, it didn't atomise the liquid well and it was difficult to inhale it all. I think the alcohol mixed with gooey black 4-ACO-DMT was too thick to nebulise well. I'm not sure if this was due to the alcohol or the 4-AcO-DMT.
There was clearly an effect within 10 min of starting inhaling and I could feel the head buzz but it never developed into visuals.
After that as drops of the 4-aco-dmt/rum/water - I'll call it solution for convenience - were sticking to the top of th nebuliser I added some more water to try to increase the fluidity & improve nebulisation and this seemed to improve things a bit.
I was watching a comedy program on tv and found it very funny, more than I ordinarily would, and was very relaxed. I did find some difficulty in using the nebuliser & had to turn it off a few times to get my breath back but once I got into a pattern of using the nebuliser I found a better way to use it. Breathing in deeply and holding it for a while while vapor built up in the chamber, exhaling through the nose then breathing in the vapor.
That seemed to work better and I felt it was more intense with effects seeming to build up better.
In retrospect I think that I previously wasn't getting all of the solution inhaled, infact I noticed some had gotten into the water reservoir of the nebuliser, which I don't think it should do. It wasn't a particularly impressive experience, though it was obvious I was affected & getting something, just not as much as I'd've liked. It seems likely my initial dose was closer to the 7.5mg mark than 10 & this combined with the initial problems using the nebuliser & the solution getting into the water reservoir meant I was inhaling a lower dose than expected and over a longer timeframe.
Nonetheless despite being more of a threshold dose & coming up less quickly than expected bacause of this it was enjoyable and I felt I could've easily gone out to a party & socialised quite easily. It wa a very relaxed experience just sitting watching tv and listening to music.
I did notice that the effects didn't seem to last that long or to build up much as I continued hitting the nebuliser, but that may well be an effect of dose. All in all a bit of a disappointment but there was enough going on - and enough technical issues - that I think it's definitely worth trying again now I've got a better hang of most effective way to use the nebuliser & know to use water rather than alcohol in solution.
