I used to go to Rehobeth with my family and my cousin just got married in Bethany a couple years ago.
 
^ no shit. Well since you know there, I live in selbyville but it's only 2 miles from fenwick and its 15-20 mins in town so our zip should be fenwick IMO. And if you wanna see how awesome it is I can post a pic of the frozen bay outside of my house with 5 inches of snow on it (maybe less out in the water). Just lmk and I can throw up a pic when I get up tomorrow since its dark right meow.

Well, I hadn't spent my whole life driving in the snow prior to the very first time I drove in the snow... It might be new and different at first, but surely with a little bit of common sense you can figure out how to do it after a few minutes of trying to do it.

With that being said though, there really is no way to drive safely if the road is just glare ice. Whether you have experience or not, sometimes you really just can't drive on it if it's that icy. Physics and all.

Especially if you guys don't have plows/ sand trucks or anything to help make it easier. Untreated roads don't fix themselves until it melts or until someone does come by and do something to change it.

Crazy shit. I'm with welder though, fuck just sitting there. 8 hours to go 5 miles? I would have just walked at that point and gone back for the car later after it clears up

Heh, people are stupid wherever you go. People up here in CT who have lived here their entire lives still run to the store and buy up all the bread and milk when there's 3 inches of snow cause they're fucking idiots.

Do they salt the roads down there in anticipation for the icy cponidtions? The roads up here are so salty you can't driver to the corner store with a freshly cleaned car and comeback with your care covered in dirrty road salt.

When I was in highschool, we got a new superintendent who was from buffalo.. so he would never cancel school, even during bad snow storms because he was used to 2 feet of snow every day and up there, they just deal with it. We all hated him.. hah.
 
and that isnt the first time. surely my tolerance hasnt jumped that high in just a little over a month. i am baffled.
