Chris webby in my opinion is as corny as they come.
UGK is dope. My favorite artists are:
1.) Curren$y
2.) Max B
3.) Jay Electronica
4.) Phonte from Little Brother
5.) Kendrick Lamar
The rest of the list is always changin but those are my mainstays, i listen to those artists all the time. I been listening to ASAP mob alot, the new mixtape is fire. IMO asap ferg is the best, i just dont like the fanbase dickriding you see with these new groups. All skater kids who listened to screamo until odd future came out and then when the "next" group come out they ride that groups dick till the next big thing come out.
Back in the day you didnt see shit like that with UGK and Mobb Deep and others alike. I love hip hop and always will but i cant say that in ten years that ill be listening to the new artists cause all this hipster shit is gettin involved with hip hop now... Fuck hipsters, theyre lame
And the music production is gettin simple. Producers like j dilla, premier and pete rock actually were diggin out these old sample and now producers just throw in whatever. i mean theres still some good producers comin out in this day in age who pay homage to bac in the days but most now will just make these corny candy beats that anyone could make once they pick up and mpc and fl studio.
