Apologies for my lack of input. Great idea static_mind. Many of the comments posted are also valid, and just quickly, I think there'll be quite a few hurdles to getting it off the ground if it's to meet local requirements. I'm busy atm, but will return to this most interesting topic.....

Yep and if the vids were deemed to be overtly promoting illegal activity then they'll most likely be flagged and removed in no time. I guess you'd have to be showing how to safely inject sterile water, safely extract XYZ legal compounds with a cold water extraction, do an acetone wash on XYZ legal compounds, correctly use a crack pipe to vapourise um... msm?. Of course the first comment on the video could always be "somewanker (1 minute ago) LOL that wurkz 4 codeine to!"

I have started a thread in our mod area asking a few relevant questions as Im very keen to do something like this in our Ecstasy discussion area as some sort of competition.

Regards possible legal problems, I dont really envisage any.

I am thinking of providing a script so that way only 100% factual info would be included and as the script would be strictly providing "safe use" info...........there is nothing illegal about it. However naturally it would be checked first.


Tremendous idea as I said earlier and hopefully we can get something happenning. Pleasingly there are a lot of mods and smods and admin who are also keen as witnessed in this thread.

Keep on coming up with ideas to make it even better.

I'm a smoker and I won't even smoke Champion Ruby, well I will but there's better.
I believe they are still occasionally sold as incense.

Could always smoke some incense, that looks and smells a lot like Meth
I'd be more than happy too.. Haha.

And as with Legal problems, there are heaps of drug related video's, including ones of people smoking gear on youtube. I can't see why ours should be considered different to these as at least ours have a point.

Just a quick update: I have a friend who is at university studying creative industries and we hopefully would have access to digital editing suites through him.

I still think my idea posted previously of forming teams in cities of Bluelighters to get this project together would be a good idea.

Incense would be fine as we are showing how to use the pipe, you wouldn't actually have to smoke it to show that part. Just say "this is when you would start inhaling but we are using incense so we won't be doing this today()."
Or something similar.

Ruby is cheap, that's all.

Yeh that's probably a bad example but there are a hundred and one potential videos/guides that could be made in the HR area for well.... just about any recreational substance out there.

Yeh if the videos were to be associated with bluelight there would have to be some degree of monitoring/editing/scripting etc by mods to ensure the info is factual, beneficial, not too incriminating, and not just random videos of people getting high

Yes I know that, I posted previously that any publicity is good publicity.

But let me explain my train of thought here; our videos are going to be different from random 'people getting high' videos on youtube due to the fact we are trying to show certain aspects of drug use in order to keep people safe. This has the potential to become a high-profile thing, and if we do this in the wrong way remember that it is illegal to be seen to be promoting drug use. If the media demonizes us, fine we'll have plenty of people looking us up as I said; however, imagine then the calls from parents/anti-drug campaigners to investigate and imagine if some cop did find a legal hole we forgot to cover?

As Mazdan and belarki have noted, scripts will have to be gone over by staff to ensure that we are giving 100% factual information and also that we are not making some statement that could be construed the wrong way.
