My boyfriend saved his puppies with marijuana

...then, if they don't like it, they run off or otherwise let you know, and you never do it again. If they do like it, why is it so bad?

it's inhumane, they do not know what's going on.

you are not giving them the choice, you are just intoxicating them. no warning no nothing.

if there were some way to tell the dog..hey you are about to get high, im sure the doggy could really enjoy it lol

Personally, I only think it's inhumane if the animal doesn't enjoy it and you continue to do it.

I just don't see how any dog could enjoy getting smoke blown in it's face.

And if the dog doesn't like it, it's too late, he/she is going to be high for a good few hours.

Remember how trippy weed was when you first started it...imagine someone who doesn't use drugs, that all of a sudden starts tripping and doesn't know why..I feel like that'd be scary.

If there was some way to tell your dog what was going on it would be different.

this is great, i own and use to breed American pitbull terriers and my babygurl marley aka moo-moo sits there waiting to be fed stems and get some smoke, and if i throw the stems into the ashtray she will blow all the ashes out in search of the stems. and she prefers nice crisp stems of dank as oppose to any weaker stems

When i was a teen, i blew a lungs worth at my dog so he'd stop trying to eat my dorito's, he's never left me alone when i have weed since...

He gets the munchies, its fucking annoying having to feed him a second dinner because he won't stop barking.

Actually, to clear up any misunderstandings, the marijuana was the exact cause of life, since the puppies that died passed away of dehydration and malnourishment not being able to keep any food or drink in their stomach. Smoking weed obviously relaxes the stomach muscles and helps you focus on other things, allowing the puppies to be able to drink. The reason my boyfriend did not smoke the other puppies out is because the rest were with his mother in a different house as soon as they left the vet. She was convinced she could take care of them so she left him with the healthy ones. The dogs are now a year and a half old, so the possibility of them needing THC is out of the picture, they have never been smoked out since and are actually extremely healthy dogs.

More questions are welcomed.

p.s. obviously they were diagnosed by a veterinarian with a disease prior to them dying that was said to DEFINITELY kill every one of them. If anyone has any other thoughts as to why only the ones with THC in their system survived I am open to suggestion.

Well there is of course a big history of medicinal marijauna in humans, but the fact is still there that if your pet isn't dying then you can't justify it as they have no say in the matter. It's like giving some one a brownie that doesn't smoke weed with out telling them it is full of weed. Is this fair on a person? No. So unless your dog/cat starts toking for himself then leave him/her be.

`a mate of mine has a small ass dog (more like a ferret) its a jack russle cross chiwowa...

this little terrorist when were out and about hunts out our stash and eats nuggets!!! like weve hid the stash before and this dog finds it and eats it!!

this dog also ate a shit load of magic mushies while we had them on the drying racks...

maybe just the dog but eh my 2c...

If you had any respect for your dogs life you would of used a vaporizer.
Not carcinogenic smoke.

Cunt.

I call bullshit.

Regardless, not harm reduction at all, now fuckers are going to be blowing smoke in their pet's ears.

Close this shit please.

thats great about saving those puppies... bottom line though getting your pets high is wrong...i mean unless they a"ask"for some...we have no ideahow it affects them...its like if someone puts 3 hits of acid in your beer...you didnt ask/expect it.now you rmind's fucked up and you dont know whats going on...its not enjoyable in the least...and dammit chris i had shit to do today

I agree completely that it wasn't a good decision, but in turn those doggies are able to live a full and healthy life. theyre really happy dogs. This thread wasnt made to advocate this decision, solely to find out the general opinion of using weed medicinally with animals. thanks for everyone's opinions, good, bad, or moronic. <3

^^ I'm also interested to hear how they're going now. Are they still alive? If not, did they survive for a long time after the other pups died? I'm curious to know how 1 dose of THC effectively cured their genetic defect.

Blowing 2nd hand MJ smoke in to animals faces definitely gets them high. Remember they're like +10 times smaller than us so it doesn't take much to get them high.

Since the puppies couldn't hold anything down or eat maybe the anti nausea effect caused them to eat back to health. If they have a genetic defect i don't think pot would be an all out cure. Interesting:)
