I really don't understand why it isn't being produced. If a lab is already illicitly producing drugs, why not have it be MXE instead of some other worse-selling drug? Like you'd think some people in NL would be solving this problem by now with their ability to synthesize all kinds of dissos.
it’s not worth it. MXE is the best drug to have ever existed (.in terms of the experience itself - other aspects such as its addictiveness and toxicity not included; just effects wise, it’s the best). it’s extremely versatile based on dosage. it can be everything, a light enhancer great for a social night out at a concert but also the ability to take you farther into altered dimensions at home in higher doses). it’s can substitute for so many other drugs and serve their purpose so to speak if you substitute it for them).
business wise, dissociatives aren’t as universally liked by users. they are very easy to “overdose on”. i mean take too much until the experience is too intense and the user has a bad time (in public for example). ppl experiencing these high dose experiences on mxe, not everyone is a fan of that insanity.
something like 2cb or mdma or lsd has a more linear (or less exponentially increasing) dose rapes curve and even at the high end of dosing those psychs the user is more grounded in reality and can handle the experience. mxe and the like are just so easy to lose yourself completely on if you cross over a certain “line” (pun intended).
it’s less of a social drug than 2cb etc. The way the mind flies through tangents and thoughts at such a high rate of speed makes it hard to get the words out at the pace of the thoughts from mxe and 2cb. etc are just a bit more coherent and better for social settings.
mxe is far more addictive than any psychedelic. so there’s that too. ppl might find themselves using it as a limitless drug in micro doses which it is amazing at unlike regular psychs imo. this makes it majorly addictive.
overall it’s just a weirder drug with less mass appeal imo.
if you appreciate it though you definitely realize that it is the most optimized dissociative drug ever created and and if dissos are appealing to you, you get it. but they are less appealing to most ppl imo than psychedelics.
also it requires high ish doses weight wise (20 to 50 mg) so isn’t as practical to make and traffic as drugs that require extremely low doses (5 mg or less). mdma would be an exception to this but mdma has such mass appeal and is so user friendly that that aspect creates a demand that is hard to ignore
last point. it mixes oretty badly with weed leading to unpleasant experiences, most ppl say this. drugs like 2cb mix wonderfully with
weed. lots of psych users end up using weed to boost the trip and are going to have a bad time likely if they do it with mxe.
