Music you used to dislike but now love.

I can't believe it myself but recently I've started quite liking opera, I heard some mozart opera on bbc radio 3 online and it was just brilliant, some italian baritone guy, was just amazing use of voice and orchestra combined, wish I knew more about it, I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any.

I'm embarrassed to say it but I used to hate Pink Floyd, I thought they were too weird, slow, and boring. Then one day I listened to Comfortably Numb while nodding out and changed my views forever :D

i managed to listen to exactly 40 seconds of the bright eyes song before i thought 'fuck this' and went back to listening to murder city devils.
godawful. godfuckingawful.

funny, how it's the opposite for me.
music i used to like and now hate because somehow i evolve in at least one area of life
The Doors
other hippie music
blah blah blah
etc

beatles are still awesome

if i hate something right off the bat
i probably hate it for life

it's loving something you can't back up that is the problem
janis joplin was a great, talented artist
but i can't listen to her if i'm not shitfaced

etc

To be honest, pop music in general. I used to be more elitist and whatnot with music until I got older and realized nothing is really that pure or straight-forward and if somebody's managed to hustle up a successful career, i have respect for them.

A lot of the music my dad was into when I was growing up, which I then hated, are now some of my favorite bands/artists: Talking Heads, Air, The Cure, David Bowie, Tom Petty (my cousin was in a band with his son, and I only started listening to hismusic after I met him). However, he's still into some shit I cant stand (Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Mark Knopfler, random British Pop artists)

Other music that I used to hate that I now love: Jazz, Folk, Grateful Dead, Hip-Hop, Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth, Bob Dylan, Van Halen, Radiohead, Green Day (First I loved them , then I hated them, and now I love them again).

Nah, that's a standard, or a "classic pop" song. The term "oldies" bugs me because it lumps songs from certain time periods into one category and doesn't really describe any sort of stylistic approach. FFS, I've heard Led Zeppelin and Neil Young on "oldies" stations before.

NSYNC

nah seriously, the only one I can think of is Radiohead. Its not like I hated them or anything, just wasn't totally interested in listening to them which is kinda weird tbh. It could have been because I was enthralled with other artists and just preferred to dive into a different area of music.

i HAVE always HATED ABBA with a vengeance but over the past few years I have slightly warmed to this.
