Has anyone on here ever been to Burning Man? That one is on my bucket list. Right now I’m just looking for a rave/festival in the NY/NJ area for NYE
I read about this too but they said that they were doing a “course correction” and they actually did evict one of the “plug and play” camps that weren’t adhering to their policy of no commercial activity…so idk, we’ll see. I like their STATED platform and policies, I do understand that sometimes it’s not gonna be like that tho cuz humans.Never been but have known enough people to go. I’ve heard mixed things but generally it’s still considered one of the top tier of large fests despite it becoming commercialized in certain ways. I’ve heard to expect all the rich SoCal types on the weekend to take pictures and be gone again.
If you live in the Northeast there’s an ok local festival scene. It’s not quite the Midwest or SouthEast but I’ve seen some good ones out there every now and again.

My friend is putting this on.
Pocono 420
It's a cannabis festival at the Pocono Raceway in Longpond, PA.
It features Kottonmouth Kings and more cannabis friendly acts.
It's April 22 & 23rd, 2023.
9th annual.

I saw Helena Hauff at a random warehouse in Brooklyn through that which was a sick show. She alternated hour long sets all night. (I left at 5, the show went to 8)
It would probably be best to search local cities first.
They kind of have a bias towards techno/house rather than big name EDM stuff, but that works for me and my personal tastes just dandy.
Techno nights are honestly my favorite. Nothing better than dancing for hours to an uninterupted set, dodging sirens and sonar pings as the bass booms around you and a crowded basement full of people dressed in black.Good looking out with the resident advisor tip. I tried it for my locale but notice it’s best for larger cities. That said, if I’m ever traveling I’ll definitely use it!
I’ve been really getting down to techno/house the past year. A lot of old timers have started to do some old school rave nights that have been a ton of fun.

Montage is a terrible venue. It was ok for ozzfest. But forget camping.
yea but im in my 40's so if I take the time to go to a festival, I wanna have the festival experience. Hotels and all that doesn't give me my 3am smoking DMT with random strangers experience. But maybe you know the hotels are crazy too?Yeah, you're better off staying at one of the hotels on the mountain. And they'll shuttle you to the stages.
