[MUSIC] Favourite cover tracks ..

yeah i was in a band, i played bass, i got quite good on the acoustic guitar but chopped off the tip of my right hand forefinger in a gardening accident leaving a scar that makes it painfull to press down on the strings. Apparently layers of superglue can cure that, ive not tried it yet, if i do, and it works, the first song im goonna learn is johnny cash's versin of personal jesus. Thats a fantastic acoustic track. Could see myself gettinng well into that, i might be aiming a bit high, but with enough practice and determination i could do it im sure.

our guitarist was talented but the rest of us werent. We were rubbish. Ill have to get me a gaming console when i ghet a job maybe, i fear it never ever leave the house though, i have huge trouble tearing myself away from the internet, adding gaming to the mix, i rememmber when i was into it, id start playing at 10 am or something and suddenly notice i feel starving hungry and it was 5pm and all those hours had flown past. I find that scary tbh. I dont do things by halves really, its all or nothing usually in my case.

That's cool you played bass. Sorry about your finger. I do believe the crazy glue should work, as it kinda mimics skin layers? You should try it and get back on your bass. Also, if you took it slow, you could ease into it. There have been others with finger impairments. Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath was missing two fingers apparently as the band was just taking off. Django Reinhardt also was one who was able to beat the odds. The body can be very adaptable, so don't give up. I wish I could play an instrument. Let me know if you ever give it a go again. And you're not aiming to high. Better to start with something that you love/feel than a boring, simpler track, right? You'll get into it easier and really want to tackle it. cheers yeah i think i could get the basic riff, but theres some quite difficult strumming rythyms in there too. Also ive seen on you tube he uses a capo, ive never used one of them, i dont even knoiw if johny cash uses normal tuning. I should be able to find the tabs somehwere easily enough, but that cappo thing is gonna complicate stuff, if im gonna try and play along in tune with johnny cash. :\ I will give it a go soon, my energy levels are rising, mind you thats probably cos im almost two weeks on my current dose of bupe, so thet means im strong enough for the next step down, where i wont have any energy for another week again. Fun and fucking games. Never again, I tells thee.

I hope everythings OK over there, as all as suddenly gone quiet.

oh man, she really takes it somewhere all of her own. Fuckin briliant. Honestly, this is fucking awesome !!! The climax is amazing. 8o I love the way shes so natural, just like shessinging alongto it in her bedroom or something. Fuckin amazing singer, i havent been keeping up enough with her work.
