I've never done salvia and don't really have any special interest in it either. If I'd get to try it for free I would give at try though.
DMT is for me the second most intense psychedelic after 5-MeO-DMT. A blast into hyperspace, fantastical and sometimes bizarre visuals and on breakthrough doses encounters with entities I don't always can recognize. They're not humans, not animals, but they are definitely living entities that eminate a life-force. An almost complete loss of ego with higher doses (though only 5-MeO-DMT has been powerful enough to complete pulverize my ego so there are no remains left), profound and sometimes scary, sometimes infinitely blissful. It doesn't leave much room for introspection for me though, everything is going so fast, I'm so occupied by everything I feel (like having no body) and see. The afterglow is wonderful though and leaves more space for introspective pondering. Very, very powerful stuff that can have an impact on me for days while the trip only lasts for some 10-15 minutes, if I don't take the afterglow into account.
Shrooms are the stuff of Mother Earth, literally but also effect-wise for me. There's a strong sense of belonging with nature, everything in nature from stones to animals. Highly spiritual and deep, quite sedating for me though. The effects moves in waves of bright mental clarity and more a cloudy and sedated, dreamy feeling. I'm not a huge fan of the bodyload on shrooms, my stomach seems to reject them and I can get quite nauseated on them. The awful taste just doesn't seem to go away, and it takes a little away from the trip.
LSD is "huge", everything is big in scope. Cathedral-like. Stimulating and thought-provoking, profoundly deep with amazing visuals. It feels more technical and designed than shrooms though, which feel more down to earth. With acid I reach for the stars and universe, with shrooms "smaller" things seem more appealing. I can get a bit megalomaniac with acid because it's more clear-headed and I sometimes feel I control things I don't do. More manageable for me than shrooms, the direction of the trip can be controlled more (if I want to, sometimes I just go with the flow). The downside is it's duration, I prefer a bit shorter trips. I'm mentally very exhausted after a trip, sometimes for many days after a heavy trip. The physical stimulation can be somewhat irritating, and the come-up always makes me anxious and restless. Acid requires external stimuli for me, with shrooms I can just lay in the sofa the whole trip. That would be impossible with acid, I have to move around, listen to music, take a walk, it's more demanding than shrooms. The reward can be fantastic though.
Hard to say which I prefer. Probably shrooms over LSD. DMT is just so different it's hard to compare it. Very high doses on shrooms can indeed have some of the properties DMT has.
