mushrooms .vs. acid .vs. dmt .vs. salvia what do you prefer?

Originally our policies made comparison threads very borderline disallowed, but there are useful comparisons to be made which is why some comparison threads are even 'official' PD threads. For that reason I'd like to ask you: why this thread? why mention those 4 drugs? Especially if you aren't going to explain anything in your OP. :)

There are comparison threads already for mushrooms vs. acid, and also for DMT vs. salvia. These are logical comparisons considering they are in the same ballpark duration and intensity, at least if we are talking vaped DMT and not oral.

So what is the point of comparing these 4? If none can I point you towards those already existing threads? :D

Each of these 4 substances have their place in the universe. One is no better than the other, unless viewed in a light of subjection. Personally, I've never done DMT, and don't plan on trying it any time soon. That's not to say I won't be doing it in the near future, just that I have no plans to obtain it. It simply is not on the top of my to do list.

If I had to choose, based solely on previous experiences, I'd have to say Acid is my personal favorite. However, nowadays "Acid" can be many different things. It can be 2c-I, or it can be DOB. It can be 2c-P, or 2c-E. I understand though when people refer to Acid, they are referring to LSD-25. However, because of the boom in RC's, LSD-25 is almost impossible to come by now.

Mushrooms are fun, but I find they have an evil side to them. They are similar to LSD, in that it's a psychedelic with heavy visuals. However, I find the mental trip can be more demonic, almost sinister in a way.

Salvia, to me, is straight up insanity. Every time I took Salvia, I hated the experience. It's too weird, too chaotic for me to enjoy. Needless to say, I won't ever be doing it again. Not at this point in my life.

Pretty much agreed and good point about each of them having their own place and purpose.

I also agree that salvia is crazy and hard to integrate or utilize or enjoy. But that may stem from the way it is taken: mostly smoked. I am very open to the possibility that salvia has great things to offer if it is taken bucally. What makes it even worse is that it is often dosed in a somewhat haphazard way, increasing unpredictability.

DMT is a tough one. I love it despite it also being too fast and too much (when smoked). The same thing I just mentioned is probably true though: taken using a route of administration that allows enough dilation of the experience and less density namely orally with MAOIs seems to be so much more worthwhile.

The difference with salvia though is that I still value DMT even if vaporizing it makes it act so extremely fast and hard.

First off Ive never done DMT so cant comment on that, though its on my to do list

Secondly, to compare salvia to LSD or Mushrooms is like comparing a rollercoaster to a spaceship.

Salvia is a rollercoaster. Once you start you cannot stop, and it goes by very fast. It is a wild ride, but you are limited in your thought process. Youre just kind of along for the ride until you come back to normal.

LSD is a spaceship. It is also a wild ride, but you can still function and control where you want the ride to go. Not only do you do deep, advanced thinking, but you can visit thoughts you would never have thought of without the spaceship. Eventually the spaceship runs out of fuel though and you just kind of drift off into sleep.

Mushrooms are also a spaceship but less advanced than LSD. Thats also less chance for something to go wrong though.

Bear in mind I made these analogies up on the spot and this is all IMO

I've never done salvia and don't really have any special interest in it either. If I'd get to try it for free I would give at try though.

DMT is for me the second most intense psychedelic after 5-MeO-DMT. A blast into hyperspace, fantastical and sometimes bizarre visuals and on breakthrough doses encounters with entities I don't always can recognize. They're not humans, not animals, but they are definitely living entities that eminate a life-force. An almost complete loss of ego with higher doses (though only 5-MeO-DMT has been powerful enough to complete pulverize my ego so there are no remains left), profound and sometimes scary, sometimes infinitely blissful. It doesn't leave much room for introspection for me though, everything is going so fast, I'm so occupied by everything I feel (like having no body) and see. The afterglow is wonderful though and leaves more space for introspective pondering. Very, very powerful stuff that can have an impact on me for days while the trip only lasts for some 10-15 minutes, if I don't take the afterglow into account.

Shrooms are the stuff of Mother Earth, literally but also effect-wise for me. There's a strong sense of belonging with nature, everything in nature from stones to animals. Highly spiritual and deep, quite sedating for me though. The effects moves in waves of bright mental clarity and more a cloudy and sedated, dreamy feeling. I'm not a huge fan of the bodyload on shrooms, my stomach seems to reject them and I can get quite nauseated on them. The awful taste just doesn't seem to go away, and it takes a little away from the trip.

LSD is "huge", everything is big in scope. Cathedral-like. Stimulating and thought-provoking, profoundly deep with amazing visuals. It feels more technical and designed than shrooms though, which feel more down to earth. With acid I reach for the stars and universe, with shrooms "smaller" things seem more appealing. I can get a bit megalomaniac with acid because it's more clear-headed and I sometimes feel I control things I don't do. More manageable for me than shrooms, the direction of the trip can be controlled more (if I want to, sometimes I just go with the flow). The downside is it's duration, I prefer a bit shorter trips. I'm mentally very exhausted after a trip, sometimes for many days after a heavy trip. The physical stimulation can be somewhat irritating, and the come-up always makes me anxious and restless. Acid requires external stimuli for me, with shrooms I can just lay in the sofa the whole trip. That would be impossible with acid, I have to move around, listen to music, take a walk, it's more demanding than shrooms. The reward can be fantastic though.

Hard to say which I prefer. Probably shrooms over LSD. DMT is just so different it's hard to compare it. Very high doses on shrooms can indeed have some of the properties DMT has.
