I have heard word there was a few at a local station. Until they flooded the place with fresh mulch. So there's some luck in Vic. I was hoping for something up in the mountains this weekend.
^Mine wasn't, but it taught me to respect natures drugs.
Going with a knowledgeable friend the first couple of times you go hunting is a good idea as they'll be able to teach you what to look out for. Enjoy your first time Yob
agree. definitely have an experienced guide when picking. mushrooms are to be respected. if you are not 100% confident of its genus do not consume, it is just too risky. fungus
not always needed just recommended. take pictures of the area and mushroom, make an id request and post it on shroomery 99.9% of the time you will be able to find out exactly what mushroom you have regardless of it being active or not...........but again never eat unidentified mushrooms
I don't know about VIC but I got a call yesterday saying that a couple have been spotted in Toowoomba. If they're showing this far north then they shouldn't be too far along down south.
I'd give anyone in Victoria another two weeks before going back to your known patches. Last year on the shroomery the first finds were about then. Seems like the cold is approaching now, overcast days (where I am) and rain.
Hey guys I got some dried shrooms given to me by a mate. He gave me around 8 grams.
I took half o them and simmered them for about 30 minutes and drank the tea.
Nothing really happened. I was pretty stoned by the time they cooled and I get very very minor effects.
Usually when Ido this method I use fresh mushrooms and it works a real treat. Infact I find it is stronger than eating dried shrooms.
Do any of you know why this could have been?
Would I be better off just cappin up the dry shrooms and eating that way then boiling them off.
Usually with dried shrooms I just pour boiled water over them in a cup and drink once cooled a bit. I find that fresh shrooms can handle simmering over periods of time but dried ones can't. I don't know why but it's what I've experienced.
