Mushroom Season 2011 UK / Ireland / Anywhere else

Anyone had any luck around London recently? I haven't had a chance to get out but we've had rain the last couple of days and I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a frost yet.

Also, there's this golf course down my road... I've never gone picking on a golf course before though, is it worth a look? I was always under the impression there needs to be animal's shit for libs to grow... cheers.

Iv never got libs on a golf course before but hav got these (Psilocybe strictipes) been getn them every year now there really small so hard to find hope this helps
 
i have completely given up now. the first 2 times this season (early sept) were quite fruitful but ever since i have found sweet fuck all. and about the cows, me and a mate had a close call last month. the big bastards started slowly walking towards us as we were hunched down looking for shrooms. we looked up and all ten of them were jus intensly staring at us as if to say "leave my shrooms alone!" we left very soon lol.
 
Hi guys, I need a bit of advice from some experts :D I've never been mushroom picking but last night whilst on Mephedrone, me and some friends randomly decided that this morning we would give it a go :D No experience whatsoever, but I have managed to pick 39 for myself. I have no idea if what I picked are the right kind of mushrooms :( Picture is here: http://i41.tinypic.com/2hd7hqw.png

What do you think BL? :)

i THINK MOST OF THEM LOOK PREETTTY good, sorry for caps, in a hurry. Divine inspiration from the Holy Sacrament mephedrone pays off once again!
 
I wouldn't take all of those, especially the big ones with the wide caps. It's promising to see someone has found some nice big libs though.

it appears those are ALL libs. You can tell from the wavy stems, yo...get spore prints.

Ok, I've circled 11 definite libs. There's more libs in the picture but i didn't circle them cos the angle/light of the pic makes it hard to be 100% sure.

Thanks for the help but I don't know if I'll bother doing anything with them, as I'm not sure what is for sure a lib. Can't be arsed with any ill effects. That being said, it was quite a fun thing to do.
 
I hope all the hunter-gatherers have had a fruitful bounty :)
Not been arsed myself this year... Though it would likely be mentally beneficial.
Hopefully, if those pesky kids haven't gotten there first, next year will provide an excessive bounty ;)

I honestly think the majority of them are, there aren't any I'd say for sure AREN'T libs...the biger ones just look like they've matured and spored, so you've prob found a field that isn't well known by pickers if they've got to that stage.

It IS, as Acid4Blood ssays, hard to be 100%, the angles aren't all right......
