Mushroom Season 2011 UK / Ireland / Anywhere else

Loads of gardens have them, I used to be a landscape gardener, used to love October! And we always knew no scrotes had been round picking either so we could afford to let them grow before we picked em....was agreeat job in October

It's been well cold, the last couple of mornings, and it seems to have made quite a few gardens flourish with fungi. I haven't been close enough to check if they're real, though. I don't fancy a bollocking for trespassing.

Everytime i post here i moan about not finding any... this times different i found 2... its better than none though... is placing in front of a fan on some paper the best way to dry them out??? at this rate its gonna take me a long time to get a decent dose for 2

Nice! Your back garden is probably a massive patch of land or field in the country part of Donegal?

I only started looking last year on my own + found 2 but got loads of lads interested this year and after this weekend with the latest rain and touch of cold it's gonna be our window of opportunity!!! Been out already over last few weeks and only found a couple. I've seen other non magic mushrooms starting to pop out since last week so this must be a sign that the magics are ready :)

Was out today in Phoenix Park as I didn't have time to journey as far as Wicklow, but only found one. Noticed various different species about, including plenty of look alikes.

Just been up on the moor for an hour with the dog and me son...

Not a single lib, not that I could see anyway...

Found two MASSIVE porcinis on the way back through a bit of woodland though <3 , and is beautiful sunny windy day, so not at all bad....

Dunno where the libs are?

Im hopeless at finding libs tried last year and disturbed some cows shagging and nearly got stampeded :(

Gawd when's it going to rain? Been dry as anything here in the midlands recently, the temperature has dropped sufficiently just waiting on that pitter patter...
