Ello peeps! Newby to BL so thought i'd jump in this thread as i'm a very keen hunter and gatherer :) Checked one of my patches around the SE suburbs and they are just coming through now. The rain today will definitely be forcing a flush through for the weekend!

Bring on the season :D

Didn't rain down my way today. :(

I still haven't even bothered to check my patches yet but I really need to get off my arse and do so. I am hoping we are in for a bountiful season this year. :D

No rain at all where I'm at even with the awesome storm tonight. Guess I'm gonna have to get off my ass and travel a bit to get hunting.

edit: well... lots of rain now, haha.

Goddamn unseasonal Autumn weather :X Any fungi out in my area has started to dry out and die, before any psilocybes managed to pop up.

Juts found in SE suburbs! Already posted pics in Melb thread at shroomery so here is the link!

Scroll down until you see post from me (same user name).

A damn good find for so early in the season if you ask me! Ever had my sunnies, and beach gear on. Can't say that happens very often :O

Hope you all find lots this weekend :)

Last weekend at a doof I heard of them being up around the gold fields and right up into the highlands.

If you look in places that hold moisture you're in with a chance

The drop in temps and rain next week should see some more open patches flush up with subs

One species I am currently seeing plenty of is the beautiful Amanita Muscaria

I had a look at the weather report for the area and it looks like Monday is the day to go looking... Perfect conditions all weekend...

Would it be too wet creekside for them to grow or would it be perfect?

straight after work went to only one of my spots, easily got 300+, i ran out of room in my baggie and left the rest. After this weekend there will way too many, i wont be able to keep up with the drying process! Mate reported from phillip island way, not on the actual island but that area don't know what it's called. Says he has never seen so many shrooms at once in his life, especially this early in the season! Rejoice everyone, it's making up for the crappy last two years

Psilo - SE, really? I'm far East and we just haven't had the rain, although tonight should change that.

Anyone into non-psychoactive wild mushrooms (edibles), I'm really looking forward to a wild mushroom and pea risotto at some point in the next few days :D

Yeah man I picked a bag of slippery jacks the other day, fried them up with some garlic onion and bacon. Very tasty
