Opps soz my bad, i wanted to delete my reply after i read that part but somehow i didnt delete it. Fridge is fine for 3-4 days max, but freezer is a big no no.

No worries bro :)

And yeah, they were put in there tuesday night and will be eaten friday night.
Ive had cubes stored in a fridge for around 4 to 5 days and they were fine.

The drying is working a treat too!

I too am from the South East suburbs. After the weekend not too suprised they've started this early, That Hail smashed my car up good and proper =(

Best plan... get some shrooms and the problems with my car will no longer bother me :P

Also as I was just wondering how shrooms go if their cooked? I know they work fine boiled in the tea, which goes great with ginger =D

But I was just wondering if I made a home made pizza would cooking the shroomz ruin their goodness? Has anyone tried this, if not I will once I get around to going picking :P and let you know how it goes ;)

hint on shroom pizza, cook pizza first, then put shrooms on and cover them. Put in oven untill cheese has melted. The longer it's in there though, less potent they become

Good advice.
Also, on the same principle: when making tea out of them, cook longer at a lower heat rather than shorter at a higher heat.

Interesting, definately gonna give it a go soon. I'll just say it I do work at a pizza shop and plan on doing it at work on a day that I'm in charge lol. I think I'll try both ways over the season and compare the best ways to do it.

Step one: Make awesome shroom pizza
Step two: Get high with mates.
Step three: wait for us all to have munchies
Step four: give them 'normal' pizza
Step five: party on shroom pizza :p =D

Thanks for that Sust. What is an active dose for dried cubes?

Active minimal dose is 2.5g. For a strong trip for non tolerant users i recommend 3g or for true psychonauts 3.5g.

Sustanon's top recipes:

1. Melted chocolate with added ground up shrooms with a dash of honey.
2. Grind up shrooms to powder in coffee grinder and cap em in 00 size capsules. 0.9g fits one capsule.
3. One bite shrooms 2 bites of apple or bannana.

Edit: Make sure the shrooms are cracker dry.

I went out this morning and found some nice sized chip piles with a few diff species growing on them. No idea if these are active or not, first time hunting so im a bit of a noob.

Out of these photos are there any actives??

[EDIT: This isn't an ID thread. Lil Angel15]

Wise420 please don't eat those mushrooms if you have no idea what they are. Unfortunately we can't give you any help as mushroom ID 's are against the rules here. Take your pic to the Shroomery and they will ID them for you.

None of those species are familiar to me, however I tend to only find cubes.

That said, you're far better off having an I.D. BEFORE you go picking, and pick something you are looking for, rather than going out and finding an assortment of mushrooms and keeping ones which you identify on the internet. I'm sure it can work, it just seems more risky that the other way.
I have been looking at mushroom pics over the past few days, still wasnt really sure though.I wasnt gonna try them untill I was sure of what they were, thanks.

That sounds like an easier method, looking for 1 type only.

Sounds like you need the help of an experienced tripper to actually go with you for your first time.

Please don't go eating mushrooms untill you have had them 150% confirmed by a knowledgeable member of the community. It's not worth taking any risks until you know what your looking for.

As long as you cover it sufficiently with cheese (and I never have a problem with putting a bit of extra high quality mozzarella on a decent pizza) it shouldn't damage the shrooms too much.

Not something I'd do unless I had a decent amount of them.

If one has a bit more of a particular drug than usual, one can usually experiment new RoAs :)

Wise420, a good rule of thumb is if you pinch the stem and it bruises dark blue/purple/black then your heading in the right direction.

There are some species that aren't psychoactive that do this but as far as i know they are rare (in Australia anyway). As a necessary precaution you should also take a spore print and learn the characteristics of the type of mushroom you are hunting (Wiki lists the mycological characteristics of most fungi).

^Good rule of thumb indeed. But please don't just assume because it does that, then it's okay. As previously stated your best bet is getting the shroomery to ID for ya.
Good lucky and happy shrooming =D

I'm intending on going for a pic in victoria after the rains we've had, but im worried it might be too hot at the moment or too early, i've already been told that we may find mushrooms, but seeing as it's been fairly hot all week, should i bother?

Yeah your right, like i said its definitely not foolproof but it's good to be able to ID mushrooms for yourself, especially if you have to travel out of town. You wouldn't be happy if you brought home a garbage bag full only to be told they weren't actives:\

But by all means post up some pics on shroomery, it's most definitely better to be safe than sorry.

can anyone advise as to the best time of year to look for mushrooms of the sought after variaties in southeast Queensland? (nearer the coast) or even if there are any around these parts?
