So SEQ and NNSW season is about to start up in the next few weeks to few months... Now all we need is some decent rain to get that lovely humidity they love! I just hope the rain holds out until after Parklife.

Cool thanks Subnaut. Gonna be a bit of a road trip but gonna take some drugs with us so will be fun anyway wandering around the forests! Did a whole heap of research last night so I got fair idea of where and what im looking for!

Bring on the weekend!

First time hunter in SE QLD, gearing up for what I've been hearing is the start of the season for our part of Aus.

As most of the info in the thread seems to be geared at our friends down south, any advice for people further up?

Trois. Check out : www.shroomery.org.

What you are looking for is Pcilocybin Cubensis mushrooms.

You need to look in cow paddocks. Try to find a cow paddock that is discreet and has lots of cover. The farmers usually know whats up. Where clothes that blend in / darker colours.

You need to go out after there's been some steady rain, you can usually tell that shrooms will be out when you start to see other types of shrooms growing around the place.

If you havent had them before. Be smart and take it easy, they can be rather intense.

Peace

Found a shit load of goldeny brown mushrooms growing from deadwood and pinecones not sure what they are just yet, but got farmiliar with the area so we have a bit of experience for next season!

Yeah will do, done some spore printing and got some decent pics. I dont think there subs though..It's got me all excited for the next season and ive been doing heaps of research and ordered the book "Psilocybin mushrooms of the world" haha. Had a fun road trip though bogged my car in a ditch haha had to ask for help while my car was stuck in a pine plantation hehe.

MMmmm i was surprised, after the warm spell the other week i thought it was all over psilo rover

I have found them in September after shitty weather like Vic is currently experiencing so there may be a few more yet but i CBF'd walking all that way for a handful when it's usually shopping bags every 100m when bush picking mid season

I had one of those mushroom picking dreams last night and knew I had to go searching

I nearly got blown to New Zealand for 1 sub lol

Fuck it's windy!

Oh how i wish i was up with our cubensis hunting friends in Qld, drinking beer in my boardy's

I probably haven't been hunting for a good month or so. Funnily enough, I too had a mushroom picking dream last Thursday night. I went for a hunt on Friday and found 5 decent sized subs. I'm not expecting any more.

Yeah it's time to bust out the spore prints and get the agar cranking with some indoor cubensis

I do have one more spot left to check though and it has surprised me in the past

September 3, 2007 i found the biggest sub i have ever seen

287mm high with a 111mm cap

Half that size is considered decent in most area's but volcano's seem to produce monsters
