i love movies. there are some movies everybody has seen but i've not and, when i tell people, they find it hard to believe.

i've never seen:

caddyshack
top gun

i guess i should rent them one day.

which movies have you not seen which would surprise people?

rear window
the third man (and up until last year i hadn't seen citizen kane either)
jfk

that's all i can think of right atm, but i'm sure there's more. i've been getting a lot watched the last few weeks though, in anticipation of heading back to uni. actually, now that i think about it, there's a whole *bunch* of hitchcock films that i haven't seen yet, not just rw..

Requiem for a Dream

Steve watched it the other day and he said it made him cry and be horribly depressed because it reminded him of how he introduced me to crack and all that..plus everything else. A lot of people say it's good but I'm not gonna see it now...not for a while anyways.

I'm not too fragile...not in that movies make me sad..I mean, I love sad movies and I love movies that make me cry..the only thing about is that when I see any movie that has a couple doing drugs together, it toooottaallly makes me want "that" again...and I know that is bad for us. SO yeah...

Good Will Hunting
Saving Private Ryan
Braveheart
A Beautiful Mind
Cinema Paradiso
Citizen Kane – well, not all the way through. I’ve managed about an hour and then got bored with it.

I’ve seen plenty of De Niro films but also not seen a whole stack of them too, like The Mission, Backdraft, Analyse This/That, Meet The Parents, Jacknife, Mad Dog & Glory, Frankenstein, Ronin, Men Of Honour, Awakenings.

I haven't seen any of the Lord of the Ring movies. I really don't have any desire to see them, but I might just to understand future references and stuff.

I think I may be the only one but I the LOTR is so dorky and geek like it isn't even funny. It is like the Bible for D&D kids

I also didn't see the first or third LOTR and wished that I hadn't bothered with the 2nd one - which I walked out on before the end.

I've seen everything Kubrick has done, except Dr. Strangelove. I have no idea why.
And I still haven't seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
There's plenty more, but those are the 2 that stand out.

Don't rent it when you can watch it for free!!!!
If you have basic cable, CaddyShack comes on either TBS or Spike Channel every other week.

I've seen the ads constantly showing previews for it every month.

Dr Strangelove is great but I think The Rocky Horror Picture Show just drags on and really is just boring. I only like when Meatloaf sings then gets killed, thats funny

yeah i agree the rocky horror picture show is really awful :\

i havent seen the 2nd or 3rd matrix or any lord of the rings.. i dunno what movies i'm supposed to see but it seems most people saw those. i havent seen most movies that have come out in the last few years

^^^hey a cash cow's a cash cow. We're not talking Schumacher Batman films here.

Possible surprises:
Platoon
Finding Nemo
Highlander (though I've seen a lot of Lambert's other, far worse films)
Kill Bill

There is no f'n way you can watch Caddyshack for the first time on basic cable. That's like watching Goodfellas on Lifetime.

Terminator 3
the final Matrix - the second kinda of killed it for me
Black Hawk Down
Shaft

my mates can't believe I haven't seen them hehe

yeah, i've still gotta see terminator 3, too. there's a whole bunch of the big blockbusters released over the last couple of years that i'm yet to catch. been stuck in the arthouse cinemas too much :D
