Donnie Darko :X
One Flew OVer the Cuckoos Nest
LOTR return of the king

LOL ...there are SO many more...sometimes i put off watching a movie cuz im too lazy to borrow the DVD or i really havent been able to find a copy for myself....sometimes i put off watching a movie i know i'll really enjoy just because im such a procrastinator and my pleasure is mostly derived from anticipatory thinking. OR i choose to watch a popular movie when the hype has died down...like i only saw Blow this year after ALL my friends had already seen it years ago. 8(
Im a nut. =D

I have list which currently contains 115 movies which I need to see. Despite my best efforts over the last couple of years the list keeps growing, with me even adding any new releases. So an excerpt from it...

On the Waterfront
Delicatessen
Raging Bull
Spartacus
Army of Darkness
The Great Dictator
Godfather trilogy

yes, film student.

A couple of years ago, i was talking to a guy we had just met at a party. He confessed he had not seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off. As this is one of my favourite movies, i was horrified and turned to my frind, who also loves it and said, "this guy hasnt seen Feriis Bueller!" she turned to him horrified, and immediately slapped him hard across the face. He reeled back, and when he regained compusure, she yelled at him, "what do you mean you havent seen ferris bueller? "

Other things i think im supposed to have watched

Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Gone with the wind
Godfather
Rocky
Gladiator
The Crying Game
Most Disney movies

I didn't watche Sound of Music till i was baout 14, and i hated it. I was about 10 maybe when i saw wizard of Oz. wasn't too impressed. I always preferred Return to Oz which my mum would hire for me when i was little. She never ever got me the original.

ah LOTR, havent done any of them either yet. not my thing i suppose.

but kids raging bull, citizen kane and the wizard of oz are all on tv this week, catch up

If you are a male over the age of 25 and haven't seen a Starwars film there is definitely something wrong with you! It's like the woman I met once who was in her 40s and had never eaten at McDonald's - it's just plain scary.

As for movies that people are surprised I have never seen:

1. Terminator 1. I loved T2, and hated T3... but for some reason haven't managed to see the first.

2. I Am Sam 2: "Still 'tarded".

Rocky
Rambo
Taxi Driver (but I FINALLY saw that, so I guess I can't count it)
Scarface (only seen half)
The Godfather
Goodfellas
Terminator

Annie Hall
Casablanca
A good amount of the AFI Top 100:

The top ten:

1. "Citizen Kane," 1941
2. "Casablanca," 1942
3. "The Godfather," 1972
4. "Gone With the Wind," 1939
5. "Lawrence of Arabia," 1962
6. "The Wizard of Oz," 1939
7. "The Graduate," 1967
8. "On the Waterfront," 1954
9. "Schindler's List," 1993
10. "Singin' in the Rain," 1952

I've only seen Kane, Godfather, Oz (Don't remember it tho), and Schindler's List.
Could make it into a poll.
Give yourself a check and see how many you have seen.

^I was going to say, I definitely don't feel like I was "supposed" to have seen that. lol. :D

Out of the AFI top 10 I have only seen Schindler's List. Unless you count the part of the Wizard of Oz I watched with Dark Side of the Moon (I hate the Wizard of Oz). The rest I just haven't seen.
