Best drugs for watching movies?

Aside from Mary Jane - which, let's be honest, is the queen when it comes to heightening musical/film/videogame enjoyment - which drug do you prefer when you just want to sit back and enjoy some entertainment?

In my experience, DXM works a treat for watching films/TV:

I remember being absolutely riveted by 2001: A Space Odyssey. My jaw was on the floor the whole time.
(Meanwhile, my sober gf promptly fell asleep about 20 minutes in.)
DXM turned a tedious masterpiece into a heart-rendingly beautiful ode to humanity.

I've read a few trip reports that described watching movies on DXM as "projecting you INTO the movie" - completely immersed, with the characters' motivations becoming your own. I've found such descriptions slightly hyperbolic but mostly accurate.

I've heard good things about MXE. It's supposed to be amazing whereas DXM is merely good (at least when it comes to improving the couch potato experience ).


I'll be trying some MXE next week so I'll post back with my impressions.

I find a nice dose of Kratom goes along great with a movie. I've also watched films while tripping on mushrooms, 2c-e and 2c-i. In these instances, choosing the right movie is of the utmost importance. Shrooms was 2001: A Space Odyssey. Mind = blown. 2c-e: Citizen Kane. Can you say holy shit? 2c-i: Moon. Pretty fucking intense, I'm surprised I went through with it in retrospect. But it was an awesome experience.
