Movies and Drugs[MEGA MERGED]

I watched Pirates of the Caribbean on a lot of DXM. It was incredible I felt like I was one of the pirates and watching it all happen from my eye (the other had an eyepatch :-\ ) I didn't really follow the plot but it was a lot of fun. So is Kill Bill. Also another time I smoked a bunch of ice with a good friend of mine and her and I watched Fear and Loathing and Fight Club one after another. I could really concentrate on the detail and hidden meanings and shit, it was great.

OMG...close encounters is one of the best movies of all time, even when sober. All the lights and shit from the space ships are perfect for trippin. That movie was way ahead of its time.

And has anyone tried watching any of the star wars movies whilst tripping? I dont know if it wouldb be good or not. But if u just want an incredibly insane, freak the shit out of you type movie, i suggest Altered States. its about a scientist that experiments with hallucinogens in isolation tanks and neutral bouyancy tanks. its fuckin CrAzY.
 
And also, has anyone gone to an Imax movie tripping. I think that would be the ultimate movie to experience while tripping. And Pink Floyds live in Pompei is great.
 
^ I actually just bought Pink Floyd live in Pompeii DVD the other day. Can't wait to try it out tripping!
 
im inexperienced with true psychedelics, but i always watch movies stoned; fear and loathing I've watched every night for the past 8 days or something ripped, its such an awesome movie. I've also read the book high...the talents of the actors really shine because I notice every little detail, facial expression etc. - same with any movie.

I fell asleep in the movies once when i was really high, but i can't remember the movie. i think it was either a lord of the rings movie, finding nemo, or a ben stiller movie. either way, it doesn't really matter...the movies are just condusive to sleep, much like theater
 
Army of Darkness. I watched that movie with a friend while on coke, ice, and weed. He said i watched the whole movie, but that i giggled my ass off to the entire movie. I remember watching some of the movie, but i thought i fell asleep early on. But, nope. He said i just tripped out to the movie. Army of Darkness is an awesome movie.
 
Whats wrong with the Ecstasy discussion people? I frequent that forum, and there are a fair amount of intellegent people there.

The Transformers movie, I watched that on E (many others but I remember this one the most), I was almost crying when Optimus Prime dies, that is Sad stuff.
Dragonball Z movie 8, that's one to watch on E, crazy.

Gubble, what indeed is wrong with the people from Ecstacy discussion? ... do you think there ...scary 'as he sits with his knees together in the club' ;) only joking man, no need for that comment.
 
Drug Based Movies

I'v seen some of the classics like Fear and Loathing and Blow but I was wondering about everyones favorites...maybe some i havnt heard of. Another great movie is Spun...wow that was hillarious. I'v been hearing about a movie about heroin junkies from a friend but i cant remember the name and neither can he. He says its a pretty depressing movie though (but what story about heroin ends well?)

So lets year some of your favorite drug movies!
 
Aw man you HAVE to like Trainspotting its ledgendary. It's a bit sad in bits but I would call it far more funny than depressing. Get it now. Alot of people say the book is better but I wouldn't know.
 
Fear and loathing would definitely be one of my favorites. I read the script for Requiem earlier today while I was bored at work, and it did seem to have a pretty unhappy ending. I imagine it'd be more disturbing in real life.

I don't understand how Sara goes completely mad because of amphetamines, though? It could have been amphetamine psychosis, but isn't that only temporary?

Trainspotting is a great film too, but I wouldn't say it was one of my favorite films... I always watch it when it's on TV though. Pretty funny in parts. =D
 
check out the Basketball Diaries. It's a great movie about heroin.
