Most unaccepted drug to use among other drug users

In my circle, heroin and crack are out of bounds. Cocaine is seen as a guilty pleasure. Speed is seen as a drug that's far too dirty and basically for scallies (British white trash). Weed is seen as juvenile and boring. Ecstasy, psychedelics and ketamine are the drugs that are seen as most acceptable.
 
The strong deleriants like datura and belladonna, among my friends and me anyway... I just can't see myself deciphering the secrets of the universe strapped to a bed in a mental ward for days =D

If I can digress, though, ketamine is the one that always seems to get weird looks from the drug-illiterate: "you mean it's cat anaesthetic?"

Rofl...press the speed into a pill and now it's upscale? I love the naive users who shun speed and glorify popping rolls all night at a club....fuck 'em. There are the few who actually know their shit and get clean rolls...but these users are far and few between...and from my experience 99% of people who are getting guaranteed clean rolls have significant experience with (meth)amphetamines.

Damn straight. I've seen SO MANY people pop methbombs and tell me that they're "rolling harder than ever". Oh, really? I guess it's pointless to try to convince those people that they're on meth. "Dude, I've been rolling for 2 days straight off 3 pills!" You have? Wow, I wish MDMA had that kind of effect on me. MDMA has never lasted more than 5 hours with a single dose for me, unless I was candyflipping, in which case it can be difficult to determine exactly when the X wore off. I can't see how anyone could get the effects of MDMA and meth crossed. They feel nothing alike! Both powerful uppers, but that's about the only thing they have in common, other than both being shitty drugs (ah, I shouldn't have said that, I'm gonna get flamed).

in my area heroin and ketamine people think k is stupid because they use it on animals im like thats cool more for me.
 
DXM use is looked down on as a trash drug, but ketamine is considered amazing.
I'm convinced it is simply because ketamine is harder to obtain, the day after DXM becomes RX only or is replaced on the market watch it become as cool as ketamine.

GHB use is met with either confusion, revulsion or horror.
Guys who have only been exposed to the media hackjob as a date rape drug are confused as to why you would be taking it, girls exposed to same are revulsed you'd have a date rape drug.
Clubgoers or those with rave exposure are horrified as GHB seems to have a very bad reputation, everyone has a story of someone taken off the dance floor by EMTs.

Somewhat OT but has anyone noticed the silly fact that legal drugs almost universally have a low reputation among drug users as a whole? As if legal status has anything to with their effects?

While really shit illegal or RX drugs are held in awe simply because they are illegal or harder to obtain? If it will get you 5-10 behind bars, was smuggled in someone's bodily orifice, or costs more then gold its got to be good!
 
I don't even think people around here know about DXM or any of that sort. I know people that have gone through a short meth smoking phase, but I'm not quite sure if it's unacceptable although no one really does it now... I know IV use is extremely like ridiculously a big no no.. especially dope

but that's how it seems to be with most other people as well
 
yeh, needles make a lot of people blanche, but break out a glue bag or a gas canister and people will truly write you off...

in this particular region it happens to be heroin
although i think its mainly the act of shooting up which is going to be the most taboo method of administration regardless (unless you consider smoking crack worse than banging coke)

Hehe, flame incoming...but first: my theory as to why people cannot tell the difference between MDMA and meth is because they've never had MDMA that wasn't cut with a noticeable amount of methamp. I remember my first few "rolls" and how much fun I thought they were. Then I remember the first time I got *loaded* on clean MDMA and was hallucinating bright orbs of colored light as my jaw hung loose clattering and my eyes wobbled like jello. It was then that I realized that whatever I had been eating before was *not* clean MDMA. There is very little difference in effect between eating a common pill out of a club today and eating a capsule with 0.25g of shards in it.

Now for the flame. While I agree that both drugs are extremely neurotoxic, putting MDMA in the same category as methamp is absurd IMO. I am aware that the "MA" in MDMA stands for methamp; but due to the methylenedioxy group the way in which the molecule interacts with your brain is completely different. The effects are now primarily on the seratonin system, vs methamp which has it's effects on dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine. The comedowns are completely different for me. While I do feel "spent" after using a substantial amount of either, I am normally tired of rolling after 24-72hrs of eating MDMA, whereas I don't get tired of being spun until I run out of money or collapse. Then, when the decision to come down has been made, I do not feel any craving for MDMA when coming off of it. I have an "afterglow" where I just want to smoke some pot, curl up with a blanket, watch some cartoons and eat a lot of food. I don't think I need to describe a meth crash for you...you know how different it is from the MDMA comedown I described...that is why I get a little up-in-arms when people equate MDMA to methamp based on the "MA" part of MDMA. If all I wanted to do when I crash from meth was smoke pot and hang out with friends while watching TV I would have never quit the shit...I also would have saved about $10,000 over the past 3yrs.

for my friends theyre most afraid of in order
1. Meth
2.heroin
3. crack
4popping any kind of pills (oxy, ritalin, amphet.)

though we're all kinda young and all theyve ever donje is cigs weed and booze. im the hardest drug user in my group of friends, but they dont really care if i pop pills or if i might try heroin, theyre curious more than scared. btw i am not scared of opiates whatsoever even heroin at all for some reason. to me its just like weed but stronger.

I have to agree there, inhalants seem to be very unacceptable, i guess its more to do with the social stigma attached to inhalant users than the drug itself (isn't everything)...
 
Get this. Was at a rave fri night sitting at a table with a bunch of people. They were all munted, we offered them some lines of K. Everyone was having fun. As soon as I break out some G one guy turns into a total cunt, grabs the measuring plunger thingy out of my hands, snaps it in half and chucks it on the ground. It's lucky I managed to hold onto the vial. We were promptly told to fuck off. Later he pointed us out to security and we got booted out.

This guy wasn't a promoter or anything. He did it because he was a "DJ" and as a "DJ" it was his sacred duty to protect our filthy drug fucked rave scene from the nightmare that is G. Pffffffft. Ignorance at its best.

shooting up seems to be really badly frowned upon, I've only jacked speed 3 times, it's not something I share with people, just me and the dude who shoot's with me but he says not to tell people (even ex-shooters) cos they all get cranky over it

fucking hypocrits...
 
Some years ago, I met this guy who said he could get me some coke if I'd take a subway ride uptown with him. He looked like hell, but it wound up being a lucky thing for me, he was a honest guy.

He gives me my shit, then he asks me, 'are you going to freak out if I hit up?' I go, 'huh?' He says, hit up, ya know, shoot up. I go, no, go ahead, do whatever you want, it won't bother me.

This guy takes a spike out of his pocket, wipes the needle on his dirty dungarees, loads it up and sticks it in his arm. OhMan. The urge took him again on the subway back downtown, and he shot up again sitting on the bench waiting for the train.

Different funs for different ones. Way too hardcore for me.
