I have been thinking it would be an interesting trip to have a bunch of body builders up hunting, lol would look funny as shit as a group of big as dudes with guns walks into the local general store to stock the cabin up before the trip lol.
One of the cats at my gym I use to get gear from went with me a few times, and would trade me game for gear, was pretty funny. He was one of those cats that looks like a hard ass but having him process bambi was traumatizing to him, he went with me once, and only once lol.
On a serious note though, as a chef, I like to push the local, seasonable and sustainable view of food. And while ea lot of the people doing this are hipsters that are just douche-bags and doing it because it is trendy, it can be a great benefit fro people seriously training. It can bring food bills down, and raise the quality of your food up a good bit. point is find local markets, that are farmer, fish markets. A lot of cities have food co-ops, that handle all local food, while it may be pricey at first, once you learn to buy larger cuts and then cut your portions from there it gets cheaper. Also make friends with a local hunter, butcher, and hell if you hunt make friends with a few farmers market guys, some times they are willing to trade produce for game, or eggs or what ever. Also if you live in a big city go to china town, the selection of fish at those markets is crazy, and you buy live, and every major city has a fish market, as well as wholesale places that sell to restaurants, they will sell to the public, and you can get great deals on bulk what ever you need from seasons and dry goods to steak and fucking hard to find things like quail eggs. And you can get things at a reasonable price, especially if you buy whole "Primal cuts" these are cuts of meats that are whole sections of animal that contain several cuts, and not just one, so several cuts with several portions of each cut, and you do the labor of the cut, price goes down. And again if you live is a city there may be a community garden whee you can grow your own produce, or if you live in the burbs or a rural spare piece of lawn can save you money growing your own produce and shit always tastes better then store bought. And the price difference is always a big factor, lets face it vegetables can be fucking pricy, and if you have kids, they love gardens watching things grow is endlessly fascinating.
@ City- if you want to hunt why don't you?
