oh! oh! I found it!

Any time there is ANY hallucinogen involved, salvia, dmt, shrooms, mescaline, whatever, they ALWAYS have to say something about it 'being LSD like'. It's like looking for Waldo reading these things, you know he's somewhere in there...
 
wow that is a large ammount of shrooms but there are some places where you can go picking 100g+(wet) in an hour or two but still...

Usually people dont stock up kilos of shrooms, i remember even when they still sold mushrooms legally the vendors only carried like a pound of mushroom in the whole shop!

Why would someone harvest and dry so many mushrooms at any one time, this guy must have been able to get rid of it quite easily im sure he would have been making good money or maybe he wasnt and he had no customers so the stock just kind of piled up? :)

this is quite intriguing, either way i would have loved to know this guy!
 
We can't have substances that "affect the way one feels and thinks". So put down that beer and turn off the television.

A shame about losing those shrooms. If the supply is short the prices will probably rise a little thus making it even more profitable.
 
I hear what you're saying Dragynfyr, I hate when the media always relates one drugs to another in the same class. "The teens were caught with two Tylenol #3, which is in the same class as heroin." It just seems they love to blow shit out of the water when it comes to drugs. I can understand that they're trying to relate to the masses and compare the mushrooms to one that literally everyone single person reading that paper knows about. Did anyone else think this person writing the article used the term "magic mushrooms" a lot? I felt like I was reading a kindergarden book.
 
I take it that they found 68kg of shrooms, not of psilocybin as the article says. If not, the mind boggles...
 
Police Seize 1000 kg of Smuggled Drugs in Tehran

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Law-Enforcement troops of Tehran province have seized 1000 kg of illicit drugs in ten days, a provincial police commander announced on Monday.


"Thanks to the efforts made by the security forces, 1 ton of illicit drugs, including opium, hashish and heroin have been discovered and seized during the last 10 days," the Law-Enforcement Commander of Tehran's Police General Ali Reza Akbarshahi told reporters.

He noted that the police forces have been able to seize 15 tons of illicit drugs during the last 7 months since the beginning of the current Iranian year (started on March 20).

Akbarshahi added that seizure of illicit drugs by the Iranian police forces has undergone a 50% growth.

The commander stated that the police have disbanded 66 gangs and arrested 912 drug traffickers during the last 7 months.

Iran alone makes 85 percent of the world's total opium seizures.

During the past Iranian year (ended on March 20,) Iran seized more than 1,000 tons of opium smuggled from Afghanistan, the largest producer of opium poppy in the world.

The crackdown has cost Iran more than 600 million dollars over the past two years. Strategies pursued by Tehran include digging canals, building barriers and installing barbed wire to seal the country's borders, specially in the East.

Amazing.
The insanity of Iran is only matched by the insanity of... well... the US, the UK, and all other countries trying to control their citizens with the propaganda mindshield bullshit excuse of the "War on Drugs".
