"Molly" is gaining popularity in the hip hop/EDM communities

^ Yes, and Purple Pills by Eminem. Both very mainstream...

Really, it's everywhere. Where you see it really depends on what clique you hang with. I've seen plenty of straight "thugs" pop some "thizzles" and get "hyphy"... hell, I did it with them on many occasions.

and to whoever said rap doesn't sound good on MDMA... please. ANYTHING sounds good on MDMA lol... bang on a tin pot, and it will sound like the most amazing drum solo ever.

lol maybe you should merge the threads because I remember talking about purple pills. I dont think anything Eminem said people actually took seriously, that was more of a "lets piss off the parents" song than an actual celebration of MDMA. Much like everything Eminem did in the early days (not hating on him, his early work was amazing IMO). All im saying (and this is over in Canada) I'm not seeing any real rise in popularity asides from Trinidadad James, and some other "shout outs" to the drug. Rappers also make shout outs to shoes and I phones. There may in fact be an increase in popularity but I just don't see it aside from #MDMA tweet me back, you seen molly? I sound really stubborn I'm aware lol. Then again odds are its not as popular here as it is in "A castle made of LSD" or wherever that is lol (Canada is just as bad as America with bunk MDMA)

I LOVE listening to rap/hip hop on MDMA. A week ago I went to a club and did like .3 of pure crystal molly, and there was mainstream rap playing, and it was awesome.

I listen to all kinds of music, even house and drum and bass.. but I absolutely love listening to rap while rolling, it makes me feel fuckin awesome.

I'm usually an electronic Nazi when I roll lol. I did listen to redman and methodmans blackout on repeat all night with my buddies one time which was dope. I hate to sound like a hipster, but I love hip hop just hate the mainstream stuff. I don't think matches the feeling of MDMA especially lyrically. As most mainstream rap is about how dope they are not about equality, which is what I think M is all about (also I find there is little "E"motion in top 40 rap). I just love futuristic noises and bass that sounds organic (if that makes any sense) it all seems forced in mainstream hip hop. Dont get me wrong tho, there is nothing like getting drunk (with some weed thrown in) and listening to mainstream hip hop lol

Obviously I prefer EDM when I am rolling, but the best rap song I think I ever listened to when I was rolling was Slither by Tech N9ne. I swear, it was the best song I ever heard in my entire life at that moment. Still gives me special feelings too :).

The rise in "Trap" music though has been pretty enjoyable while rolling.

I think it probably first started when electronic music started becoming more popular in the last few years. The rise of house and dubstep in the US introduced the culture to new people and replaced hip-hop in many places. Naturally, these people took mdma with them back into other cultures, college parties, etc. where is wasn't before. Of course, the general increase in acceptance of drug use in our culture helps a lot too.

Also.. most rap music these days, mainstream or not, is influenced by mdma. All of the main rap artitists now rap about MDMA, they ALL do. every single one of them.

I think with mdma you can project into different moods, I guess. Like, If I'm rolling and listening to electronic music, drum and bass, house, I kind of get that ego death feeling, lkike everything is equal, and everyone is together and one with each other.

When I'm rolling and listening to rap/hip hop/mainstream rap, I get into that hyphy mode. Like party party party have fucking fun. There's just different moods associated with different types of music while rolling (same goes for tripping) and I honestly prefer rap while rolling (and I listen to everything.. from 60's rock to lady gaga to mainstream shit to blink 182)

lol saying they ALL DO is a bit of stretch. Especially considering there are sober rappers (believe it or not). Somebody mentioned how a tech 9 song was god like. First time I ever rolled I thought Furgi-licous by Fergie was a masterpiece ahahah

Now watch people snort "molly' thats actually coke or meth and the news will bash MDMA.

Meth & Coke are (generally) more expensive than MDMA. Can't imagine any dealer selling a bag of cocaine and saying that it's 'molly.' Especially since most people ingest MDMA orally...
Some pills are cut with meth, but generally a very small amount just to provide more stimulation, in an attempt to make pills seem stronger.

yeah not a universal 'rollin' song but there is many songs strictly about mdma. Rollin' by Cudi being my favorite but there is many references in hip-hop songs.

yea it is, but since id imagine most of these rappers dont own test kits i woundt be surprised if they were getting one of the myriad of RC's that everyone and their mother can get a hold of.
