"Molly" is gaining popularity in the hip hop/EDM communities

Now that "Molly" is rapidly growing in popularity in the mainstream hip hop community (songs by Trinidad James, Rick Ross, the list goes on...) what effect, if any, will be seen in the market for our beloved little substance? Do you think there will be a change in availability, quality, or government/police attention in regards to MDMA?

Now I doubt many of these rappers actually understand what Molly is intended to be, nor do the fans who are inevitably going to flock to the drug in their blind desire to emulate rappers in everything they do. I'm interested to see what everyone has to say about this, considering this will add a new dynamic to how society sees the drug.

Hope this is a clear enough question and will spark some interesting debate.
 
Your behind the 8 ball imo mate. Mdma has been around I dare say longer than you yourself have walked the earth. Mdma is not new to rappers dude.
 
Haha I was just thinking of this and I remembered rappers like lil boosie and Gucci mane been talking bout jiggin since like 2004 or earlier. I think now more mainstream rappers are yelling molly for attention real thugs been talking bout beans for a decade of more cause they hussle the piss out of it and yes the police do know thizz entertainment in Oakland just got popped under a year ago I believe and they were caught with beans and raw MDMA so I believe police will begin to watch and pay attention just as much as they do in the edm scene as more and more rappers talk about there MDMA by the bag lol
 
Wasn't lil wayne arrested for possesion of like an ounce of mdma? I know a guy who recently discovered mdma who's more of a wanna be badman, he says he likes mdma because it makes him feel really confident. I guess it's psychedelic qualities are somewhat shown there, you get out of it what you expect. I expect it to make me feel empathetic and it does. Some people do half a gram of it in a night in lines and treat it like a stim and just say they get a rushy euphoria. I think everyone who does it like that is doing it wrong, but then when I say the most I do in a night is 0.2 and that I do it at most once a month they give me "lululul who da fuck is this pussy" looks so to each their own.

Xzibit but yes many many rappers talked about beans but now they talk specifically about molly. My roommate and I have a joke that the yell it to promote the sales in the RC trade because the own labs in china lol this is what you think stoned lol
 
Haha yes fitty but still they never specified molly now rappers say molly, I think it will be the same as edm if not worse because most hip hop scenes are already crowded with police

Not to mention purity when a crack dealer starts to sell MDMA he will only put like 30mg in rest something else
 
^ purity has never been an issue for me, merely size (people selling you underweight stuff). You don't expect mdma to be cut and with crystals its obvious when it is normally.

Rappers saying molly are mainly old and washed up trying to bring back there career that began ten years ago similar to Madonna yellin who's seen molly at ultra
 
Yes, MDMA in some form has been in raps for a long while BUT this recent spike in popularity is much more than a few blips on the radar IMO. Seems like every time I listen to hip hop now I hear it.

I like to keep my ear to all types of music.
