I don't find any precise on the interactions between Moclobemide and Opiates (Methadone).
Moclobemide, for those who don't know, is a short-acting, reversible inhibitor of MAO-A. It doesn't interact with drugs like other MAOI do. There are almost no contraindications with food and drugs.
Some webpages say that Moclobemide should not be taken with Opiates, because it can cause dangerous, as the combination is dangerous.
Many other sites, however, say that Moclobemide potentiates Methadone; but they can be taken together: you just need to adjust your Methadone dosage (take less).
So if I take less Methadone than usual, would it be safe to take Moclobemide?
(I would like to take Moclobemide daily, as an antidepressant)
If anyone finds a webpage on the subject (Moclobemide+Methadone), please post the link, I need to read about the subject).
