Hey Guys I'll cut right to the chase. I IV pretty infrequently (today was the first time in 5-6 months) and today decided it would be a good idea to IV coke. So I had a friend who is well versed in IVing do it for him because steady hands, you know? Now it is unknown what exactly happened, but I assume that the friend missed a medium sized amount (must of slipped out or something). Within seconds I felt the rush but also a lump formed in the crook of his right arm, a sizable one. He immediately put warm compresses on and massaged the area and it went down, now about 2-2.5 hours later the spot is tender, slightly warm, a little swollen, but a ton better from where it was when it had just happened. I massage the area now and then and just stopped with the compresses, also drank a vitamin C packet and put some neosporin/vitamin E oil on. Just wondering if there was more to do, and what should be looked for in case of an abscess or something like that. I'm also is looking on a opinion on how to proceed from here. Thanks everyone!
