Miami (& LeBron!) vs. Cleveland - THURSDAY 12/02/2010 @ 8:00 p.m. EST

damn, us Cavs fans really wanted to be in the game. too bad we just didn't have the talent

some good chants though, specially the "Akron hates you" and "Delonte"

^ Yes the Heat raped the Cavs... but the phins will NOT rape the Browns. Watch Hillis hurdle over a man or two. You'll see why Cleveland will look at Lebron as an afterthought in the next couple years. ;)

Hillis is our NEW messiah! And he's not too Hollywood for a blue collar city. :)

the Browns raped the Patriots. and the Patriots rape the Dolphins twice every year. I do not foresee the Browns losing to the Phins

the miami defense is ranked 6th. the new england defense is ranked 31st (out of 32)...

alasdair

Also, Miami won the Pittsburgh game in everything but record. It is a bitch that that game (decided by a bad call) could actually be the difference between Miami making the play-offs or not.

also, the Miami Dolphins starting QB sucks

and I think that New England doesn't quite look as good statistically as they are doing now. it took the Pats a while to realize that they are a good football team in all facets of the game. their beginning of the season numbers most certainly bring down their numbers as of late

and now you are sounding like a stereotypical, sore-loss Miami fan. I can't tell you how many times the Steelers got screwed out of games because they hit "too hard," or some other bullshit penalties. I didn't like my team beating yours in such a manner, but the fact is the Dolphins could only kick field goals (even when given perfect field position), while the Steelers scored TDs...

Know what, Le Bron is a sell out. Should hav stayed with the CAVS.

Guy used to be cool enough to wage argument with against Kobe homos.

Now, he no better than Antoine Walker in my book. Pull ya head in son, you got game but you don't act like a man; let alone a man in a team.

if he's a sellout, why did he sign for less money with the heat than he would've made staying in cleveland?

because he sold out to a team where he thought winning championships would be easier

Maybe he wasn't happy in Cleveland and felt that he would never win a 'ship there?

I still do not understand the hate for a guy that simply took advantage of Free Agency. I get it for Cleveland fans, but as for the rest of the nation and ESPN it's like what the fuck. Everybody is/was just scared.

I think the hate comes more from the fact that he had to announce it in an hour long or whatever special, like it was some political election, and the whole parade thing in the heats arena with Bosh and bron acting like rockstars and saying they will win 7 rings. It rubbed the nation the wrong way. it was more of an arrogance issue for people who dont live in cleveland. youve got to be pretty cocky to have the words "chosen one" tatted on your back in huge letters lol

anyway tho, props to the heat coming together in that game

i don't think people had a problem with what he did, rather the way he did it.

Going on six months now? I can understand being pissed off in the moment, but seriously nation, get over it.

If LeBron announced he was going to the Nets would everybody be so pissed off?

because he sold out to a team where he thought winning championships would be easier

so i'm confused -- what's the definition of a sell-out?

isn't winning the point? is kobe a sell-out because he refused to play for the team that drafted him, demanding to get traded to a team where he thought winning championships would be easier?

Perspective

Would you like to know why so many people reasonably dislike LeBron so much?

How about looking at how a true all-time GREAT chose to handle HIS moment in the spotlight.

In my not-the-slightest-bit-humble opinion, Pele was THE classiest athlete I have ever had the honor of witnessing.

Over thirty years have passed since his retirement, and he is STILL widely acknowledged as the greatest soccer player in the history of the sport.

But unlike MJ, LeBron, and other talented athletes who see themselves as the center of the Universe, this mensch fucking GETS IT.

Watching this farewell speech, as a kid, with my Dad, remains among the most beautiful memories I have.

This speech is the opposite of The Decision.

Watch it.

sell out: taking money, or an easier road to achieve your goals. I know all about this definition, being an artist. sure, I guess Kobe might be a bit of a sell-out, it's not like I am a member of the Kobe fan club by any means. at least he stuck with his team since day one. sure, there was a time when the Lakers were faltering and he wanted a trade, but at least he stuck to his team

I agree with LL on Pele. what an athlete

"an easier road to achieve your goals"

then everyone is a sell-out. you would be an idiot not to take the easiest road possible to achieve your goals. you can argue humans are programmed to do that because we take the path of least resistance.

lovelife: i don't think you can "reasonably" dislike lebron james -- as a person -- because none of us know him. i don't dislike anyone because i have only been seen what the media allows me to see. i may dislike their game but not them as a human being.
