the PONTCHATRAIN rocks! period.! that days inn is a party foul in its own. I stayed there a couple years ago and it does the job as far as giving you a roof over your head.. thats about it.

actually, the Ponts are assholes.

they've tried to blame festival attendees 2 years running
for shit that was already damaged (got this from a janitor
there)...

try to bill us for supposedly tossing the room phones out
of the window... (apparently a bunch of folks did, so they
tried to charge a block of floors and rooms)...

the only -- repeat THE ONLY -- reason i go there every year is
b-c it's the cheapest place to go ($89 a night if you're smart
enough to book well in advance) and a simple 3 minute walk

and no matter hw drunk i get, i can always manage to make it
there...

i'd much rather be at Hotel St Regis ... but it's so far...

some of my main reasons as well. %)

the hotel is complete chaos which i find amusing. Plus they had cheap drinks on the patio last year; 3 dollar cup of labatt compaired to a tiny cup 5 dollar tiny cup at the festival... pont rocks.

when your broke...your broke...:(

welcome to america...where inflation moves at the speed of sound

It's obvious that the city is also Broke and that is why the need for a charge. All across America if we look closely - money is disappearing - there hasnt been REAL money in our economy for a while it is now because of the current power play in washington that all the Federal funds that were going to cities like Detroit is getting cut off so Bush & Pals can buy a few more mansions & $ 1,000 cigars.

so yeah - that plus the " Security TEAMS " plus the broke pockets of the people who are supposed to go -will equal [ & this is just my prediction ]
I say In-fuse will have about 2,000 paying customers
then all the rest of the kids will go the the "afterparties"

have you ever been to one of these before?

try close to a million.

if anything, the ticket price
and possible security non-sense
will affect NEXT year's attendance...

but not this year

considering the rash of "white-boy jacked" that went on
last year and the year before, i think people will take
very kindly to any semblence of heightened security.

I AM SO EXCITED DEMF IS ONLY A FEW WEEKS AWAY!! NEXT WEEKEND IS PLANET OF THE DRUMS @ BLEU IN DETROIT . THERE ARE SO MANY PHAT AZZ PARTIES ALL THIS MONTH. I CANNOT WAIT

Besides the many misspellings in the list...what a line-up!

The underground stage will be insane on Sunday and Monday. I can't wait!

I wouldn't be surprised to see some scheduling shifts because when 10,000 - 15,000 people converge to try and see hawtin or beyer in a space that will probably hold 2-4, there will be some serious security issues.

YEAH I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY DIDN'T PUT HIM ON THE MAIN STAGE,DUH!!!
