7 hours of sleep doesn't negate 3 days of no sleep.

i had so much fun, i didn't even mind the event that i was supposed to play at getting shut down.

i forgot to check out j.long, tho'. i think i got there too late for him and shiva. :-(

usually, i arrive at DEMF too early and leave too late. when i leave, i'm ret t'go. but this time, i could have stayed another 3 days! i had loads of fun and can't wait for next year.

( i know every year there's the obligatory "if it happens" when talking about the next year, but really yaw'll... Monday looked slim as hell when we drove by it. )

hey at least they were dancing the whole time dressed like that and i am sure that was their job.

Now look at all the people who paid to be there looking the same; that were just fucked, staring, and wandering with huge pupils and no clue what was going on.

bring on more paid dancers to make up for those who pay not to dance at dance parties!!!

did anyone else think carl craig's set was absolutely THE SHIT after they stopped and built it really slowly with the keyboard, and then the sax and then the beat and finally worked it up?

fucking long as hell build, but it was goddamn amazing.

oh, and i was watching a jit/break dance circle at the time and people kept walking right through it on their way out...who the fuck does that??? go around!
ugh

All photos are now posted (I think):

Aaron-Carl, Speedy J, Moby, Dieselboy, Tech Itch, Oscar Mulero, Dubfire, Josh Wink (who looks just like my favorite bartender), Benny Bennassi, Kill Memory Crash, James Zabiela, Punisher, Heartthrob, Deadmau5, Pete Rock, Joris Voorn, and of course Grandma Techno, friends, crowd and glowstickin'.

I had t go through some security guard dickishness just to get the few I did. Fortunately i got some decent ones in before I basically called bullshit to his face, shook his hand and walked out ;).

I didn't realize security was such a problem if you had a press pass, or is it?

no, not usually. this guy was just being a douche. there's always at least one of them at every event I cover, no joke... the kind that make up some rule on the spot or think I'm a 16 year old that landed a pass and doesn't know any better.

i sleep better at night though... knowing i'm an established photographer and not a security guard with a superiority complex.

Some years ago, one of the security guards at the festival made me throw away my graham crackers and my unopened Dr. Pepper. Even though I told him I had blood sugar problems, he seemed to like to think it wasn't a problem to charge someone, who could potentially pass out waiting in line to pay $5 for a fucking Pepsi, too bad.
