jesus, colleen! got any human being to go with that sweat?

i'm surprised you didn't shrivel!!

I was crazy hot in there, but most of the water is from George's dousing with a water bottle. Guess he was just trying to help me stay cool? 8(

Freaking incredible weekend all around!!!! I highly suggest the trip up there to anyone who's never been before. Should be some great pics from the last day! ;)

whatever was going through my mind when i got that hot dog hat and possessed me to wear it around the plaza all day is not so easy to recall.

I think it was the beer going through your liver.......:p

I had an absolute blast. Sound was WAY better this year than last. Marco Carola rocked it on saturday night along with Claude Von Stroke. Audion and Ryan Elliot were pretty good for the first half of their set then it just begain gettin a little bit too deep towards the end...still good regardless. Misstress Barbara played pretty good on Sunday but it was all about Claude Young and Takasi Nakajima. SLAMMIN!.

Raiden and Soundmurderer slammed it at alvins. Nice and rowdy in there. Had the most insane cab ride of my life. Cabbie drove over 100mph on the way to alvins and literally had the van on 2 wheels going around a corner. Homeless bum tried to rob me when I was stumbling back to the hotel around 5:30am. That was interesting to say the least.

Monday was awesome. Couldnt have asked for better weather. GAISER! Amazing set. Lot heavier than what I was expecting which was extremely nice. Listening to the booty house/ghetto tech was kinda fun for a while. Mike's set was awesome. And I dont know if i heard this properly but im pretty sure I heard a remix of the nine that was fucking awesome. Knock you down vip was nice too. Another track I had never heard had the sample saying "push em up" repeatedly. That was bangin. Guy called Gerald about put me to sleep when he started but it had picked up quite a bit by the time I came back to check it. And finally, what the fuck possibly possessed john acquaviva to have Dan Diamond perform with him. The guy just talks on the mic while john plays. I didnt get that. His set would have been good minus that guy.

Overall I had a great time and cant wait for next year.

Yesterday was f-in amazing!!!! I still can't find the Indy dnb contingency 8) My 2 favorite sets so far have been at afterhours and thrown down by Indy djs *shrugs*

i gotta agree with you there. ben wu fuckin dropped the acid bombs at the mixtape party, and adam dropped some sick ass hertz tracks at the beretta party.

too bad, at that point, i was about to collapse.

see you in the press tent, or whatever they have. ;) coverin' it for NUVO this year!

I'm trying to decide if I should talk about the perks of having a press pass or if that would just piss all the people off that paid $50 and paid $7.77 per drink with (cheap?) liqour.

regardless, i got some sweet pics and went to several bombass after parties. the one at 7am on monday morning at the old miami was amazing. adam jay's and the berts on broadway parties were sweet too.

i slept until 4:30pm today. i don't think i'll be back to normal until at least the weekend.

i finally feel somewhat normal again8)

my most memorable moment was probably either drunkenly starfucking and meeting ritchie outside the detroit tent when m.dear and ryan elliot were melting the place down with some hawt shit. then i got my copy of "asa breed" autographed by the man himself ;)

very memorable moment because after getting hooked on "deserter" i was on a mission to meet/thank/interact with matthew dear and show him some love...brought a tear to my eye it made me so happy:D getting fucked up and acting a fool is one of my favorite past-times but my true love with events like this watching the best dj's in the world drop the science REAL hard and having a chance to personally thank the one's i love most for their hard work and artistry.

Bateman you would have cried your little heart out at the Old Miami party on Monday morning man. Matthew Dear, Ryan Elliott, Butane, Seth Troxler and Troy Pierce going back and forth and back and forth from about 7 AM to well past 4 PM. Absolutely fucking insane. And thankyou for the shot of Jager at the Spectral/Ghostly party! :)

Overall, another very succesful year at DEMF. Highlights included Misstress Barbara, Hawtin's Beatport Set, Micheal Mayer, Jeff Mills (at times), Audion and Matthew Johnson.

There's so much more to write, but I don't have time right this second. Seems like everyone else had a blast too, though. Cheers :)

My favorite part of the weekend was definitely all the cool people I met, DJs and random rollers included :).... especially the 7am party at the old miami. words can't describe.

I met Misstress Barbara, which was pretty cool. She said she's working on a new album. It's not a mixed album either... all new material and she does vocals on many or most of the tracks.

Hardfloor, DJ Godfather, John Aquaviva, Mathew Johnson were my favs at the fest. The after-parties were the best part though for sure. Only DJ I missed that I really wanted to see was Matthew Dear, but I've seen him before so it's all good.

now i have to prepare myself for bonnaroo next weekend..... oy

anyone going?
