methamphetamine is EVIL

I loved using Meth. It was a fantastic experience, though it has left me mentally ruined, it hospitalized me and became in a way slighly addictive.

To be experienced, but not used on a continual basis!

shals :D

i did it maybe 10 times orally/snorting depending on whether it was powder or base (meth?) over 2 years. (never again) just wondering would this cause much damage?

10 times over 2 years? No.

EVEN if it'd cause the damage (not much case in your amount/your number of times you took) it would do the same damage as smoking/IV. Meth is meth, the route you take doesn't have MORE/LESS damage, the amount and the number of times you take it (consantly) does have. For example Desoxyn, pharmaceutical meth, 10mg/day constantly- doesn't have any problems, whether be it comedown or long-term damage - the number of mgs does have importance in this case.

^--huh? you're saying pharm. meth doesnt have any long term damage from daily use?

what do u mean by "mentally ruined"? i've asked this question at least 20x around here to people who used to use meth a lot. is it that you had lots of traumatic experiences from your addiction or are you referring to actual brain damage?

i used to use a lot a few years ago, and so did a few of my friends. in those years that i stopped using i didnt feel any type of residual brain damage had occured, and the same goes for those friends. in fact, like i said earlier in this thread i feel WAY more damage done after i take MDxA and LSD:\

yeah i took it 10 times, i thought this wasnt much, ive probably had 30 so called mdma pills in my life. and couple of different trips here and there. i still feel brain damaged in some slight way, like hppd, worsened attention span, memory etc.

But i have been smoking weed for 9 years and 6 years nearly daily with sporadic breaks every now and then. do you think its just the ganj thats making me this way? even after a month without herb the problems still there?

I hope that moderation thing works out for you. So far I only know of one person who actually uses the substance in that manner and still functions. However her memory/mental capacity could certainly be called into question. I don't think anyone can place all the blame on the drug. It is not what causes people to have delusions or hallucinations.....but the inevitable accompanying circumstances that follow a binge. These would include lack of sleep, lack of food, and any insecurities which one might have prior to the use. Just be aware that I have seen someone do meth years ago, start off using the drug a night a week and then end up using it daily and binging. This person went from one of the kindest and most generous people I had ever met, to being a paranoid monster whom I no longer knew. Luckily this person stopped and as far as I know things are going a lot better. Once again after stopping the use, the person had *from my perception* a 180 degree shift in their personality for the better. Just be careful. It might not kill you, but it could cause you to make a lot of hurtful decisions to those you love.

RedHaze - it'd be great if you could post links or studies on it. I'm really interested in the subject.
Unfortunitly I don't have links to the material. I was just something I clipped out of a thread and saved as a .txt as part of my 'meth information and notes' on my computer. If you do a search here on BL, you can most likely find the thread I clipped it from.

when i used meth i used it in moderation. i would come home from school and tweak up do homework/study/games/whatever and have a beer or two then sleep. then sometimes i'd have too much shit to do and just not sleep at all it just depends.

I've experienced some long term psychological effects from abusing meth. Mainly, mild paranoia, anxiety, and mild agoraphoebia. Methamphetamine definitely can have a majoy effect on one's mind, negatively.

Also, someone said earlier that the way meth is ingested doesn't play a part in the damage? I disagree, I think smoking meth is worse on your brain than snorting it or swallowing it. I don't know about injecting because I have never done it. But smoking it is what really fucked up my brain, because of all the various ways I'd smoke it (i.e. lightbulb, etc.). Im sure there's some glass vapor residue somewhere up there in my mind just swirlin around havin a field day, wreaking havoc on my receptors. Smoking it is worse for you.

I doubt routes of administration effect the damaging of your brain. Smoking it is prolly harder on your lungs. But if you are smoking out of a lightbuldm, then yeah, you prolly have some of that nasty white powder in you, that's why it's downright retarded to smoke out of a lightbulb.

IV is the best method. It doesn't hurt your lungs, it won't eat away your sinus cavity, and none is wasted when you IV :).

whoever posted this thread needs to stop scapegaoting the chemical... a chemical cannot have inheirent properties pertaining to human morality...

^ I would say Oral is the best way of administration, as it doesnt damage your veins, mucus membrances, lungs.

I have read a nasty report about IV Methamphetamine on permenant damage to veins, I can't seem to find it right now :/

Forgot about oral...

I have been mixing up my routes of admin. That way, it's not to harsh on my lungs, viens, or nose.

I've never done meth orally. I suppose it would be easier on your body overall, but how is the high? Frankly, the most attractive part about meth itself is being high as soon as you snort/smoke/IV. Waiting 30 minutes for the high would detract from the fun of it.

i know a person who has litterally told me meth has ruined his life. he used to be really intelligent, now he acts like he doesn't have any fucking sense at all.

^^ Which other, less harmful amphetamines can be used for. Why meth?

thats why other, less harmful amphetamines or analogues thereof, or other stimulants alltogether, are used.

why meth why meth why meth...my god people you are all missing the point, people say they do it for homework, to stay up, etc etc...BULLSHIT!!! they just LOVE THE HIGH!! hell i'll admit it, i LOVE the high, its one of the best feelings in the world, and it just makes you not worry about shit you would normally...THATS why people use, i use for the high, and to basically just be like 'fuck it, this is my night to tweak out and have fun'...

the comedown however...that can suck my nuts...but i guess its good to say i know how the comedown feels, most people who tweak never stop and just let themselves go. i feel content using it as long as im not scrounging up money and making phone calls once morning hits chasing the bag...i just let it get the hell outta me because when im coming down thats all i want is the shit out of my body, out of that damn yellow smelly piss it gives you

Yeah, Meth is definately a "More-ish" kinda substance indeed. Though it in no doubt has fucked up alot of people's lives, some maybe robbed of intellect after it's use, or others too caught "in the scene" to really even notice it's fucking with them yet.

But, I have to say. I live in Melbourne, Australia... and down here, it doesn't sound like we have nearly as much trouble as what the States does. Sure... there was a slight epidemic that influxed Melbourne for a few months, but there appears to be a slight drought as of late... and alot of people I have come to know, just forget about the fact that they can't tweak for now and move on.

A have met on numerous occasion, individuals that claim they have had their "bad streak" and going on over a month binge, but this appears to only be really short term (1 month) and after this they realise their usage is getting way too outta-hand and I guess... quit while they're ahead.

And... I seriously have to say this... Methamphetamine, no... NO DRUG IS EVIL!! It is toally not possible for a drug to have pure intentions of making the decision to be evil to you or your life in any way. You are the one to make the decision, whether it be good... or bad.
