i think most would agree w/ me that meth is a pretty evil drug. yet i have been doing it at least once a week, every week, for the past 3 mo. i thought that if i ever got to this point i would have a lot of regrets about using meth but it has opened my mind up to things i would have never even thought about otherwise. mostly spiritual stuff, but it has helped me overcome a lot of self hatred and inner conflict. in any case, this is my last night of meth so hopefully tonight i'll see that dead baby on the ceiling.

i disagree with meth being evil. but i also disagree with drugs not being evil. one word... "dramamine."

rehaze - stimulation :)
Sure, it's a stimulant. But there are a number of less harmful stimulants out there.

Meth reeks havoc on your body, and usually your mind as well.

Think of it like this, what are two things you need to survive? Sleep and food. Meth tells your body you need neither of these things, usually resulting in some no good situations.

Methamphetamine--which may have been synthesized by a German guy--was created well before WWII and not by the Nazis. If memory serves correctly Amphetamine was first synthesized by the Japanese in the late 1880s.

Rumor has it that JFK used amphetamine or methamphetamine to stay alert during the Cuban missile crisis. I'm not saying that JFK is a flawless, holy creature, but it takes all kinds.

Oh, and if you swear off meth after taking a very large final dose, be prepared for odd, transcendant religious-type thoughts. These are normal, and you should go back to your happy atheist self in about a week.

Anyone that figures meth is worth it after seeing the facts is a fool indeed.

Meth may not be evil, but it's creators were. I've heard that meth was used frequently by Hitler to keep the nazis alert 24/7.
Jan 18, 1887 Amphetamine was first synthesized by German chemist L. Edeleano and originally named phenylisopropylamine. It was then largely forgotten for the next 40 years.

1919 Methamphetamine is first synthesized by Japanese scientist A. Ogata.

Long before Hitler's little WWII skirmish.

What you did was link the Birth Reduction method of manufacture, commonly known as the Nazi method, to Hitler and the Germans of WWII.

Many countries used meth/amphetamine to keep troops going during that time though. Hell, even the USA issued amphetamine to troops in Korea between 1950 - 1953.

ey, fuck you man. that's a very bold statement to be making on BL. let people make choices for themselves. they'll learn from the consequences, they don't need your close-minded judgement. my first experience with meth was definitely worthwhile and socially rewarding.

Bold I may be, but a fool I am not. People here on BL can make any choice they'd like, but I'll still call them fools.

My so called "close-minded judgement" comes from experiance, and a hell of a lot of research.
_______________

My first experiance was fun as hell, as were the numerous other times I did it. It alway's felt worthwhile and rewarding, but it isn't either. You'd see that if you took a few steps back and looked at the bigger picture.

well feel free to enlighten us with your "experience" but i don't see why people feel the need to speak condescendingly to people for the choices they make for themselves that really don't effect you one way or another. giving personal anecdotes on the negative effects of a drug is a lot more productive than name calling.

Let's see, countless friends lost to addiction of this horrible drug. Some died, others in jail, others just fucked up. My uncle lost both of his children, now we have to treat him like the peice of shit drug addict that he is and not even let his own children hang out with him and his wife. The strain it puts on both your body and mind is not healthy. The strain it puts on your friends and family is just FUCKED UP.

The title sums it up in one good quote. I agree. METHAMPHETAMINE IS EVIL.

< P.S. All this 'drugs arn't evil people are evil' is bully in my mind. Meth specifically can drive you to do generally bad things that you would not normally do, ask any addict and they will tell you this.

Sort of like being so drunk that you act like a moron, even though you willingly consumed the alcohol your not willingly acting like a fucking moron. It's just part of getting too drunk. >

K'Dout, if you were not using meth do you really think you would have pawned your mothers pearl necklace for some bags ? I think not.

My experience? I used to do meth, I was hanging out in all the major dope houses around town. I met and knew ton's of tweekers, I was a tweeker. I was looking around watching my friends and myself all pull destruction down on ourselves. I've since quit, and left the little circle of real close friends I had because they've let meth wrap it's icey claws around them.

i could say the same about alcohol. some people just can't exercise moderation. given, it's a lot more common for people to entire into cycles of abuse with meth. but at the same time, there are people who don't.
