I don't know if its an isolated occurance through my current source in Brisbane or if its just a slump locally but since the end of feb I've noticed a massive decline in quality..

This weekend we've only been able to source orange/yellow wet smokable gear instead of shards

^^The saying 'so stick that in ya pipe and smoke it' seems to make a lot of sense right now..

Been good for 4 days now. Even though I have cash in reach.. I know I have to use that to pay for a very costly house hold appliance that shit itself. Even though my use has been out of control.. I'm pleased I'm having a little self control.

^^ As much as I enjoy getting on it, after 2 nights with no sleep.. Im over it. I find that I get to a point around that time where even if I have more, its not improving my mood or energy levels so cant see the point. I have never quite understood how people goes days and days without sleeping. Maybe they just get way better shit than me!

Anyway.. the viewing on TV after about 2am is NOT designed to entertain the tweakers thats for sure. And I dont know about others, but I can take a couple of hrs just to decide what movie I might want to put on or download.

I think pokies joints are designed with this in mind...what tweaker can resist a place full of music and flashing lights at 2am in the morning... not me anyway.
 
Footscrazy I live in the wrong city, we only have them at the Casino here.. a good 45min drive from my house.

I was staying at a friends in Melbourne a few years back and she lived right across the road from Crown. In the early hrs she had to try and get some sleep, and me being off chops though I know what I can do - so off to the Crown I went.

Had a bloody brilliant night.. this was 2006.. I was there for the AFL grandfinal... the randomness of bumping into a mate over there who is a bit of a TV celeb and doing lines of coke with him of my mobile phone on Swanston Steet!
 
^^I hate the things, never pulled anything half decent out of em(yet weekend after weekend I have mates winning thousands) but I can see how if I were tweaking and had a ton of cash I could lose track of time and end up putting a shit-ton of money through em very easily.

Had some base on thursday night, only 2 points IV'd and it was really good, I was surprised as this guy often has shit, the only reason I went there to get it was because it was a last minute decision to get on it. Anyway I had it at 8pm and was up until about 3pm next arvo so it was obviously half decent. Im almost sure this guy has been buying crystal and cutting it with glucose and selling that as 'gas'. Anyone else found people doing this?

Why is there so much research done on crystal but its almost impossible to find anything on base? Pretty sure base has been around in larger quantities for longer than crystal so I dont understand why theres so much to read on ice and nothing on base, afterall most of Australia believes they are different drugs. If anyone knows of any links to any good articles or research results then please post :)
 
Yeah people cut it all the time. You wont find any research done on the "gas" or "base" your referring too, as its the very same thing = methamphetamine. Base is freebase oil. One is 99.9% the other is just uncleaned, cut meth. The "base" or "gas" is usually is from shitty backyard chemists who do not know how to clean it up or recrystallize the end product or just too lazy too or w/e other reasons. Back in my prime days using meth id try to avoid "base" gear. It just looks so dirty and shit thinking about it now and people putting that stuff up there veins :S
 
I cannot fathom shooting more than 2 points..or even 2 points, for that matter...one up the arm has me coughing, rushing like a freight train and almost spewing...and I've been shooting meth (on and off) for 10 years..

Then I hear about people in America doing up to a gram at as time...in a place where it seems the quality is much higher than ours...The thought of the intensity that must carry with it blows my mind!

I think I may be a lightweight, this is probably a good thing for both health and wallet...

Been getting some lovely glassy stuff for about the last 6 months, killer rush, good legs and minimal scatteredness afterwards. No post binge body aches either....although for me a binge usually only consists of 2 points. But that keeps me going for about 36 hours. Subsequent shots have diminishing returns....

I know its the same drug but surely there is added harm with all the impurities. I would have thought users of this impure meth would be having all kinds of problems that ice users wouldnt get or at least not get as soon. I have seen some nasty, naaaasty looking 'base'(sorry I dont know what to call is so everyone knows, I mean the goopy, wet impure meth or speed) and people dont seem to think twice about putting it in their veins, it is by far the most common substance IV'd by people around here, ice is only really smoked by most....I would just be curious to see how the effects over time of injecting impure meth compared to pure crystal would be different.

Blah meth used to get me cranked of less than a point during the 90's - early 2000's and the shit was pure as fuck. Now days even clear pure gear does little for me other than keep me awake. I have to do 1 point minimum of good, clean, quality glass to even feel like I'm on it. New production methods? Tolerance? ( I hardly use it these days so I doubt it.) Any other idea's? .

Im the exact same if its decent gear.. I cant imagine it would be more enjoyable shootin more than a point n if it is that good, Im happy with 80mg first up...

I think this would mainly be due to the fact that 'base' is a dealer created product, the list of possible cuts and impurities are endless. Technically it could be racemic or pseudo meth, so there are more potential synthesis routes which means more potential impurities left from the synth. Add to that, your neighbourhood dealer can step on it with absolutely anything and you can still eat it, cut it with glucose and snort it or IV it. Ice has to be pseudo meth so the synthesis routes are more limited, it also has less viable cuts as the product is generally smoked/vapourised and so the number of agents that can be used to chop it are considerably less.
