Methamphetamine Discussion Thread 2.0

Sorry for 3 posts in a row but I forgot to ask. The other day I was told at my methadone clinic that health care proffessionals have been warned that there is an additive being put in ice that is active in tiny doses, adds to the paranoia/hallucinations/psychosis and they are being warned not to touch the users bodily excretions as it can apparently be transferred through skin. Now my case manager means well but shes a bit dopey and buys into a lot of rumours and stigma, but has anyone heard of this and do you know what it is?

On the other hand one of my best friends has been tested for encephilitis(sp?) And thankfully doest have it but from what ive been told hes either psychotic or full on schizophrenic. Its such a sad time for all this to happen and he will likely be sedated over xmas :( This was likely brough on by diet pills and pot. Im heartbroken at the moment. I just spent hours comforting my friends and his mum. If you believe in a higher power then please pray for my friend to come home safe and sane.
 
I chickened out regarding scoring again . . I'll set myself specifically the 2nd week of January to party. Trying to learn from past experiences . . I am hopeless if I smoke and have things to do in the coming days. Everything just ends up getting cancelled on my behalf!
 
The difference in gear can be so massive!

For a substance that looks mostly the same to the untrained eye it can smoke up totally different and can feel so different. The stuff I had last week made me sweat buckets, made me spew when I IV'd it and smoked up like shit. The stuff I have now smokes so well, doesnt make me feel sick even when I have a giant shot and feels much less taxing on the body.

NYE tonight should be really good. I quit heroin successfully so my resolution is to cease my crystal use(my exception will be NYE, My B-Day and Mardi Gras) so im glad I have good product to go out with a bang. The other night I used .8g which is just not on and totally overkill so I thing I chose a pretty good thing to change. I reckon next year is going to be an awesome year coz this year sucked :P

Seems that in the last 3 months everyone in my town that was shooting speed is now shooting ice and everyone else is smoking it, its crazy how ive seen this drug change my suburb dramatically in such a short time.

Eventually yes your sex drive is 0. Not speaking from personal experience but watched this happen to people I know. Cloudy often equals more impurities in the cooking process or cutting agents which end up being much of a muchness.

Blue lips are not normal and indicate that your body is not getting enough oxygen pumping around it. Cyanosis is the medical term look it up. If your feet are going purple/blue that is FUCKING BAD BAD BAD. Speaking from a professional viewpoint blue lips, let alone blue extremities would mean a pulse oximeter and if your blood oxygen levels were below 92-94% a fucking mask of O2 (oxygen). As a side note the mexican shit is back! Be careful if you get hold of this gear it will fucking fry your senses.
 
^^ thanks for the info regarding blue lips.. it only seemed to happen when I would IV a point of good crystal.. my hypertension might have something to do with is as my mates never experienced it, I just hope its not pulmonary hypertension causing it to happen....

What do you mean by that last line? I've found I can't take xanax as it causes psychotic outbursts and weird behaviour and thoughts, even the next day, it sucks because I have insane anxiety.

He means people do some fucked up things on xanax(especially when they have a bottle there abusing and eating bars like candys). A fine example of this is two of my mates bought a bottle. They broke into and robbed a chemist, not once, not twice.. But three times, the same chemist.. 3 nights in a row. They are now in jail/rehab.
 
Well it could be worse... it could be the only chemist in the town for a few thousand kilometers and a population of less than the distance to the nearest city. Then three members of the local community they rob the only pharmacy in town three nights in a row!!! That would be just fucking mind blowing brilliance!

Got some more nice gear but binged and now regretting it especially physically and the financial discomfort caused by said excessive consumption of methamphetamine. Reducing said pain with excessive doses of benzo's, cannabinoids and psychedelic drugs. This looks like a long week ahead...

I'm no expert but I think "speed" is supposedly what is known as amphetamine, ice is supposedly methamphetamine. However, in Australia, I believe most "speed" you get is simply methamphetamine that is cut with something. Amphetamine is more popular in Europe, probably because of the ease of access to certain precursors. Ice is popular all over because of the relative easy "cooking" processes and access to the precursors that turn ephedrine/pseudoephedrine into methamphetamine.

Oh well that's a short bit of my dive into the sweet puff of the stem diaries. Don't get me wrong, having a toke is great, tastes nice, its social (im not talking hangin with crabs) but , puff responsibly.

I just think speed is powder or glug and ice is crystal, both meth, but crystal is usually less cut as you said and to me it's more powerful and addictive and expensive. Im probably wrong. Some meth nerd will probably tell us if we are right or wrong.
 
No, no no.

Speed is either amphetamine/methamphetamine but in the UK it typically means amphetamine sulphate paste. Ice refers to meth, just in crystal form or it could actually be 4-MA.
 
^ Pretty sure that's what everyone said, actually.

I reckon these days crystal isn't necessarily stronger than 'speed', what with all the new cuts around, and just the fact that there's a perception that shards are stronger so they attract a higher price than speed. Not to mention there's something about crystals that just look more pure than gluggy, wet, off coloured speed - but it doesn't necessarily mean the crystals are more pure. I remember seeing speed made into different batches of purity - 10%, 20% and 30% - and despite the 30% shit being the best value for money, it eventually stopped selling at all because noone bought it over the 'shards'.

Trust me you'd know if it was 4 mar it looks different for a start and the effects are LONG LASTING. I think subject this was raised a few pages back in this thread. 4 MAR or U4RIA is something you'd know about if you got hold of it. Not all that common but fuck if I came across it again I'd pass.

What has your 4 MAR looked like? When I've had it it looks like shards - it could easily pass. I do know it was 4 MAR and have a video somewhere of myself reagent testing it to show it was 4 MAR. As a habitual meth user at the time I found the differences far less pronounced as those who tried it who weren't dependent methamphetamine users seemed to find it. I guess also as a daily meth user the long lasting effects are kind of lost on the user. After three or so days of consecutive days the serotonin effect of 4 MAR diminishes too and to me, after that, it felt very similar to meth. My opinion (just my opinion) is that a big part of the difference people felt between 4MAR and meth is that at least when the 4MAR I was getting in 2010 was around, it was very pure, and most meth wasn't. There's such an exponential difference between low quality and high quality methamphetamine - and for someone used to typical low-moderate street purity meth, the simple difference in purity when accessing 4MAR could account for much of the difference in effects felt.

Buy yeah, I can't say I wouldn't like to see Grandmar again - maybe I could even justify using it given it's not technically methamphetamine ;)

Thin longish shards but unlike meth it's always these thin long shards unlike meth where you can get largish chunky crystals the 4 mar I had was slender and long, if anthhing it looked like really well made meth but the shards looked like icicles long thin icicles. Best way I can describe them. The first feeling is like "damn this is some good meth" but it's less ampy makes you have a bit more, more fiendish than meth I found. Had it a few times and after the last round with that shit last year I'm over it. Same thing happened when I got some very high purity "supposedly imported" meth. Makes most of what gets around look like the average shit it is. This is probably more a personal thing really than the drug itself. Kinda went almost psychotic. Even meth just not the most fun compared to some other shit like doing some 2cb and a few lines of K.

Seraphine this subject was bought up and apparently the practice has been witnessed so yeah anything is possible especially with meth n cutting it.
