methadone 10mg question

Ok guys...I have four 10 mg Methadones...I took one yesterday at a 10mg dose, and for the potency of the drug, I really didnt feel much of anything..I know for sure the pill is legit, the imprint in a little M with a box around it...I typically can take 5-6 5mg oxycodones, or 6-7 vicodin 7.5mg...so how would i know how much methadone to take to get that similar high, i really enjoy the nodding and non of that occured..I need some experienced users to help me out, I know this can be potentially dangerous medication, as so can anything if you dont know your tolerance, but i know my opiate tolerance, i just dont know how to transfer it to methadone form...Obviously this is all used recreationally...But i love the high, but im also not looking to land six feet under..:|
 
This is usually a BDD question. Someone already moved ya there.

Here is the opiod conversion chart. I tend to think it'd be less than some would say in that thread. 30mg of oxy isn't that much to be fucking with 'done IMO. My advice would be 15mg and then titrate up. Edit I read that wrong. Only 30mg of oxy is very little.


Methadone is alot different of a high than what you're used to IMO so keep that in mind. The energetic oxy high just doesn't happen for me on methadone.
 
'done is a maintenance drug, and from what I know it takes 3+ hours to peak. IMO, you tolerance is WAY to small to be fucking around with something like methadone. Never redose with it either, the half life of methadone is really long, and dosing too early can lead to accidental overdose. Your better sticking to the traditional painkillers.

i gotta say, i waited all that time to get any type of high, nothing really happened...not even a high? i stopped pills for about 6 months, before i stopped i was taking 10 plus oxys a day...i just started back up recently and ofcourse my tolerance is spiking up quick, i cant get oxys so i got methadone..i know the half life can last a while depending on the size of a person and all that, thats why i came to the thread to get some input..point is i never got a high, never nodded, nothing..i might of psyched myself out of it but i doubt that...any other suggestions?
 
Maybe someone will be able to give you better advice, maybe a safe dose. Until than all I can say is do some research and only than make your decision. I think the risks of ODing outweigh the gains of getting a high, if it actually does get you high before its to much of a dose for you.
 
well i appreciate man..i live in NY and i cant find a damn soul with any good painkillers, its my drug of choice and its hard to come across..im just gunna keep them in my pocketbook where they belong, im not looking to land 6 feet under...just to have a nice chill high

Methadone is a potent drug and you did the right thing by starting out in the 5-10mg zone. These doses don't always produce a high because they are small, however Methadone being very potent, it is best to be cautious with it. Now that have tried 10mg and it didn't work you can go on and give 15-20mg a try. Don't take anymore than that. If you have a tolerance to 10+ percocets (I assume 5mg, so 50mg) then you could safely take 15-20mg. You exercised caution and that was good. 10mg didn't work so now you can safely try the doses that get people high. NO more than 20mg.
 
Doubt your gonna get high on methadone.. thats the point of it, to not give much of a high.. especially if your not opiate naieve x
 
Methadone can get you VERY fucked up. I tried it about the time that I was fucking around with oxycodone, took 30mg with clonazepam and got more fucked than I have ever been before. More than my first time using opiates. I was so disconnected with reality and had not a care in the world. A few years later I ended up on methadone maintenance and around that time I was using massive doses of oxycodone and heroin. I wasn't able to get high off it anymore.

this^^ i recently tried methadone for the first time with a 45-60mg oxy tolerance. the first night i sort of blacked out 8o but then after trying it again i achieved the best fucking high i have ever gotten before. possibly even better then the first time i tried oxy (45mgs with 1mg xanax 200mgs tramadol) that night was fucking amazing, but this high was even better!

i took 800mgs tagamet, after an hour i took 15mgs methadone + 1mg klonopin + 200mgs lyrica... after 3-4 hours, i was nodding out so hard!! it wasn't that dopey, "fucked-up" feeling like oxy where it hits you hard, i just felt so fucking content and when i closed my eyes i felt like i was floating, then my friend called me saying he had some roxi. so i bought one, and decided to cut up some lines.

i broke the pill in half and blew down 15mgs. after a couple mins, i decided to smoke some more weed. after i took a couple hits, i stopped to close my eyes. even though i was sitting straight up, i felt like i was laying down, or upside down. i was totally disoriented and it felt like i was just suspended in space, while my body was literally shielded from the world. the whole fuckign world didn't matter. i was COMPLETELY numb, physically and emotionally. i sat there stoned to the bone with my eyes glued shut for who knows long, it felt sooooo good i never wanted to leave. the feeling was very psychedelic in a way, but everything i ever wanted from opiates. it was nothing i ever experienced before.

holy shit i want some fucking more! too bad i overdrew my checking account on them and im dirt poor...gotta hold out until i get my next paycheck in a week or so!!!! :p....but i guess its a good time to invest in some DXM and get my tolerance lowered...

In my opinion Methadone is just as sedating as heroin, morphine and oxymorphone, more than oral Morphine & oral oxymorphone (and probably oral heroin but never tried it orally). This is just in my opinion, not the facts. Those other opiates are sedating and provide an all around better high but Methadone is just so sedating for me. I could never stay awake on maintenance and got into 2 car accidents on the highway. When I first begun Methadone I'd fall asleep during conversations or when sitting down. But of course I was on doses much higher than I needed. I just kept upping the doses so I could still feel it. I could have probably stopped at 80mg but I went all the way up to 135mg. It was a bad mistake.

Well, it sounds like you take pain pills a lot & therefore have a tolerance, which of course makes perfect sense & sheds light on the situation when you take into consideration your total lack of reaction to 10mg of Methdone.

I'd suggest that next tme you take does take 15mg to start with, & f you're stl not feeling much in like 2.5-3 hours, take another five mg.

Methadones of course so tricky & finding the right dose for yo can be so hard. As you kow, i's just hella dangerous
 
I agree with 'sids'. I've been on a maintenence methadone script for years and the doctors and drug workers all say that one of the advantages of meth' is that even though it stops withdrawalls, you will not get high on it. I get the green liquid but I have had physeptone pills in the past with same results. At one time phy' amps were common on the streets of London and you did get a really good buzz after wacking up one of them. But yea, ya gotta be careful if your not used to it. A lot of people have odeed on methadone, very dangerous if yer not use to it.
