Meth to Crack --> need advice

Please get over yourself, Centre. What are you coming down on? Alrighty alrighty so i guess then its a matter of individual willpower/external envt/genes as to whether/when one can stop, and what one will look like after that. Btw boys consider yourselves lucky you don't actually have to worry that much about your appearance, as your drug careers rn't usually related to that. Mine however is/will be so trust me i don't look like dian sawyer after 11pm.

One last bit of 'wisdom'.....

I still remember in my first couple months of more than casual use.

A couple crackhead (now,ex)friends that frequented the house I would party at used to tell me, flat out;
"Cloudy, your gettin' too far into this shit, slow down, go spend your money on a vacation or something. This shit will eat you up, if you keep going"

And this was just when I was smoking every couple days.

But looking back, them fucking crackheads were dead on right. The months and then years after that became a constant chase for that stupid fucking high.

You never want to hear the truth.

I'm in the same boat with some of my old friends as well. Can't be around people who don't do coke/crack to get high, but do it because it's something they have to do. Fucking lame ass chase. Been there done that.

Methbaby---that's the only reason I was so critical. You should take the constructive criticism at that and realize that your actions are not the social norm. Prostitution is generally frowned upon, especially in exchange for drugs in your case. (not like anyone really gives a shit on the legality)

I'll leave it at that. If you want anymore of my beautiful lessons of life, I suggest you get yourself into another peculiar situation.

if you have willpower to get off meth, that does not give you a ticket to take up addictions to other drugs in the mind set that you can just give them up, because people do fucked up things in the moment of desperation.

anyways, stop sucking off people for drugs, get a job, get some hobbies maybe something other than gym, you know.. ice skating maybe? anything your intersted it. just dont do that shit, youll be fucked in 5 years, stay young, stay buetiful, stay fit, dont pump toxic BS into yourself.

a)drug career is a metaphor i once heard, generally implying that one cannot simply do hard drugs recreationally, but that they eventually become your life and in replacement of a 'normal' career, yours is crack/smack/meth watever, thus your days are spent either finding ways to earn more $ to buy more of the above, or consuming the above; no time for a careers. I was not implying what you think i was implying, tho i can see it couldv sounded like that sorry.

c)gl with your addicitons, don't be too hard on yourselves, the world is a fucked up place and it's not your fault it has pushed u down this path. Who says what is legal/bad and wat isn't? Have you ever asked yourselves, questioned, why we feel we must obey such laws/beliefs, instead of having the freedom to make up our own minds? Clean up society first AND then come and tell me im scum.

Methbaby - congratulations to you on 6 months clean. If you have made it this far, stick with it. It can take 3-18 months for the body's chemical balance to get back to normal after heavy stimulant use. Don't give up - that may be just around the corner for you.

Another point: just because you were able to give up meth recently does not mean that crack would be easy to give up or that another run with meth would be easy to give up either. I have been in this game for a while as well, and my experience is that each time gets harder.

I had a slip in July (IV coke) after 6 months clean, and now have 90 days (again). Guess what? I still have semi-constant craving, and regular boredom and anxiety. Moments of serenity and natural euphoria are short-lived when they occur. But, I stay clean because I know that using again won't help that problem.

FWIW, I understand what you are doing and how you are thinking at this point. I am not judging you, but urge you to take a step back and look at what you are doing. Nothing good is going to come from hanging out with this dude in the long run.

It sounds like you can still find your way out of this. Do it while you still can!

Mbaby- I'm not sure if you can see this, but even though every post is worded differently - they are all telling you the same thing. Some have been more harsh and rude- but they're all saying that you are worth more as a person than to be some guys blow- robot!

If you want to know what will happen to you, look at the threads around here about people trying to get off crack. Why do you think it would be easier than meth? You already know you like the stims, to me that would say stay away!

It sounds like you need to just hang on a little longer. Sobriety can be boring, but it's going to get better. How can you improve anything strung out on crack? If you're okay blowing a guy for it, what's going to stop you from going further when you get into a desperate situation? That would scare me. A lot of women do pay for their drugs. Personally, I couldn't do what you are to get mine, but that's just me. No high is worth that degradation!

I almost want to move this to TDS, but you're getting some good stuff here with all the guys that know this stuff. I don't do any of the stims- not what i like. You're at a big crossroad and only you have the power to decide where you want to go!

One last thing and I'll shut up. When you first tried meth, did you think you were going to get to the point you got or did you think you would be able to use occasionally? No one goes into this wanting to be an addict. You've pulled yourself beyond and above this, just hang on!
 
You can always edit or you can try to explain it differently. I think some of the harsher comments are good to hear. You can't always hold someone's hand and explain in nicely. Bad stuff happens and if you've been there you explain it through your personal experience. Some people hear harsh stuff more than the more gentle comments, ya never know what's going to hit someone. I think everyone had good intentions otherwise we would have deleted.

I didn't mean to be overly rude to you. It's obvious you have more problems than meets the eye. It's probably not easy to hear this...and we both know that I'm not one to preach about making mistakes. One thing I've learned through all my mistakes is that you learn best from fucking up. You learn the best from your mistakes®, and the harsh lesson is usually the one that needs teaching. For some, it's rock bottom...some perhaps prostitution. For others, it may be picking up a needle. Everyone's different, but any person who overcomes their mistakes and accepts them after dealing with the consequence has learnt a lesson (I hope) that no educator could teach.

If I believed in God I would pray for you.

My sister started crack at the age of 18. She is now 37. My family has had 19 years of court, jail,car wrecks, hospitals, jail, attorney fees, jail, pre-mature crack baby, jail, mental hospitals, jail, parents spent every dime they had to buy shorter jail sentences, 2nd baby, jail, brothers getting into fights with dealers over sister's drug debts and did I mention jail?

I hope you are a troll because if you are serious, you and your family have a nightmare ahead of you like something out of hell.

Edit: Let me add that when my father was dying from lung cancer, he told me his biggest regret in life was that we had not killed the motherfucker who gave my sister the first hit on the crack pipe.
