I guess it depends on what circles you run in... I thought that "there was no meth around" when I moved to the Florida cost back in 1997, but once I started using a lot, and worked myself into the circles of meth users, dealers, cooks, runners, etc... well, suddenly I couldn't see how anyone could ever think there was a LACK OF METH .. same with heroin ..
I guess currently the mid-west is experiencing the biggest boom, as there is so much open space and you need not travel further then your neighbors barn for the anhydrous ammonia.. one thing you definitly see if that the methods of production will vary from area to area... but I would say that meth is just about everywhere - if you can't find it then you're not looking hard enough!
