Meth taking a step up?

I've been hearing that meth is not just getting big, but huge over on the west coast and that people are expecting it to become pretty big over here on the east within the next couple years... Is the whole west coast thing true or are people down here just too stupid and lazy to do some fucking research?
 
You're a few years behind. Meth has long had its day on the west coast, and it's already spread eastward quite a bit.
 
It does seems like meth use has been gaining some momentum over the past couple years! Seems like alot of the older school rave headz at parties around here have been laying low with the E usage and venturing towards meth and dope.
 
it's not ALREADY a big thing on the east coast?! cuz i could have sworn it was...everyone i know does it...it's the "cool" thing to do if you're a tweek freek.
 
i live in ny, (suburbs) im sure theres some in the city, definitely not as much as dope and coke.. the only speed i can get my hands on is dieting pills.. and that shit sucks
 
The current methamphetamine "epidemic" started on the West Coast and spread eastward. Currently it is very common in the Midwest, much less so on the East Coast. If you look at DEA meth lab seizures by state (http://www.dea.gov/concern/meth.htm) you can get a basic idea of its distribution.
 
If there was better product on the East coast it would probably spread alot faster. Although, from my small amount of experience, the South is even worse off. The epic is definately spreading though.
 
i've heard that phoenix is the meth capital of the states. ahh and i'm but 6 hours away. it's pretty big here, lots of trailers/abandoned barns/garages that are few and far between....perfect locations for meth manufacturing. yay.

Phoenix is the Meth capital of the states. Everyone tweaks in Phoenix. I personally hate the stuff. Not my kinda drug. (Yes I have tried it). But if you want tweak, especially good glass, come here.
 
lol....good 'ole Arizona. The North-western part of the state is really bad. Literally (and I can vouch for this) there is at least 2-3 meth labs busted every week in an area surrounding a small town called Bullhead City. I used to live there. It is crazy. Had a meth-lab shut down right next door to me once. There was a mobile meth lab, set up in a RV. There was one on a boat that cruided the river. It's amazing really.
 
meth usage is not as widespread on the eastcoast at all. it is gaining popularity, but its just not as cheap or plentiful in the northeast as out west. we don't have big meth labs in the northeast, consequently it all comes from out west and this drives up the price. but it might be for the best.
 
I guess it depends on what circles you run in... I thought that "there was no meth around" when I moved to the Florida cost back in 1997, but once I started using a lot, and worked myself into the circles of meth users, dealers, cooks, runners, etc... well, suddenly I couldn't see how anyone could ever think there was a LACK OF METH .. same with heroin ..
I guess currently the mid-west is experiencing the biggest boom, as there is so much open space and you need not travel further then your neighbors barn for the anhydrous ammonia.. one thing you definitly see if that the methods of production will vary from area to area... but I would say that meth is just about everywhere - if you can't find it then you're not looking hard enough!

From my understanding, on the eastcoast, we in the north have more than they do in the south--but the entire coast has a relatively small market. Like others said, we dont have big meth labs, so our prices are jacked and quality suffers. Over the last few years, the usage has become widened but it is still on a small scale compared to other parts of the country. One thing we have a lot of, is dust. We should trade the dust for meth--who's with me? LoL. I do think though, that in a few years there will be a lot more of it. Right now, its not very easy to get on the street--you pretty much have to know somebody to get it, but I have the feeling that as time goes by, it will be much easier. :)
