Sex + Drugs Meth & Sex Megathread

This Will Be Fun Dance Moms GIF by Lifetime Telly
I put the "fun" in dysfunctional, as my therapist says

It is perfectly safe to mix alcohol with a therapeutic dose of script amphetamine. Just try to keep track of how much you are drinking if you are drinking a TON. I’ve done it dozens of times without any issue.

I find caffeine to be far harder on me both mentally and physically then Dexedrine.

And my ADHD is just pretty resistant to most of the medications and can cause me to be very dysfunctional even on the medications. Focus, motivation, time management, actually getting what I need to done can all be extremely difficult for me with or without Dexedrine/Vyvanse/Adderall/Ritalin/etc. I would guess that the CPTSD plays a big role here in worsening the ADHD.
I should mention this was when I was drinking first on weekends, and then daily as much as possible getting sick, passing out, blacking out for multiple days, etc. I do not drink or use any drugs now.

I found what helps me the most is to write a list of things to do, and focus on completion of them one at a time.

Okay, yeah that is very different from having 3-5 shots of vodka every Friday night.
I found what helps me the most is to write a list of things to do, and focus on completion of them one at a time.
I find that to be a good strategy too. The medication is only 60% of the solution, at least in my opinion. Strategies and habits such as a simple to-do list are the other 40%.

Anyways, lets get this back on topic before I move all the ADHD discussion to a separate thread in MH.

My bf and I sometimes party together for a couple days. It use to be fun but now all he wants to do is masturbate to porn for hours even days edging. He'll lay next to me and have zero interest in sex or playing with me. He actually prefers to watch me mess around with other dudes than actually playing with me. If and when he finally decides to have sex with me, he either struggles to get it up because his dick is beat up from 48 hours of edging or is so wound up from edging - he immediately cums when inserted.

Now he doesn't have interest in sex off drugs and the above is what the drug is doing to him.

What's going on with him and how can I gain his interest? I'm down with the partying on ocassion and we use to have amazing sex on drugs and off drugs. But it's over taken actual sex now to only me watching him frantically stroke himself for hours and hours and hours. He tells me we can call another dude over for me and I'm okay with MMF stuff sometimes but I love/want my bf.

I don't know what to do. Other than this, the relationship and he are amazing but the lack of sex and intimacy is getting to me.
This would happen to me when I was doing meth. I would slam some and go on a sexual hiatus. I am a woman so I am lucky because I can cum multiple times. Orgasms are unbelievable on the stuff and it is hard not to get addicted to the mind blowing orgasms. However, men can only come once maybe twice, so I get that they want to make it last. I understand that it is hurtful when you feel that your partner is not intimate with you just himself. This happened to an ex bf of mine and I started giving him oral instead. While he was masturbating, so was I. What was great about this is that I then had control when he came. When he was almost there I just wouldn’t stop lol.
I’m the long run, other drug related problems brought us down. Two addicts together can be a very difficult relationship to say the least. Just know this has nothing to do with you, because I used to think that. T

Ngl I have never once had sex on meth, and I do meth pretty frequently. I cannot think of anything more unappealing. It literally makes me shudder.

When I was in rehab other people would talk about how they stayed up for a fortnight fucking everything that moved and I'm like 'goddamn I'm done after a day and I don't even want to jerk off what gives'

More like it doesn't matter so long as everyone involved is a consenting adult.

For me, meth just heightens my appreciation for kinky, cis-gendered, hetero sex if the dose is high enough, but I'm still not turned on by other men. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm admittedly not very gender-fluid, but not by choice, and nothing against being gay. I wish I were gay; no expectations to produce children, no worries viz. pregnancy, and sexual intentions are usually clear. And if you meet someone ~your size: BAM! You double your wardrobe! :ROFLMAO: (full disclosure: that's a Seinfeld joke.)

Steroids make you horny because they play the role of our natural hormones. Testosterone makes humans horny – it gives rise to libido both in men and women.

(BTW, as an aside, the difference b/t “men” and “women”, biologically speaking, isn't defined so much by dicks and pussies; it's maybe best defined as chromosomal make-up, i.e., virtually everyone has either: 1. two X chromosomes, what we biologically refer to as female, or, 2. an X and a Y chromosome, biologically male [EDIT: said that backwards initially, fixed now]; gender identity is totally different, but I digress).

Testosterone alone boosts libido, advances male-pattern baldness and the development of facial hair, can cause acne, and can cause early menopause in women. Meanwhile, in men taking testosterone or another anabolic steroid, the body recognizes the influx of hormone and the testicles stop producing testosterone for a while, only supply the small bit of estrogen that all men produce. When that person suddenly stops taking steroids, the body doesn't ramp testosterone production back up right away, it takes a few weeks to get back to normal. Some men on steroids end their cycles with an estrogen-blocker to prevent unwanted side-effects like mood swings, depression, and/or gynecomastia (man-boob development), &c.

So that's most likely the effect of a CNS stimulant increasing libido but decreasing performance. Taken with a PDE5 inhibitor (read: Cialis (Tadalafil), Viagra (Sildenafil), Levitra (Vardenafil)), most men see an increase in both libido and performance. I highly suggest having a sex partner around for this. If you find yourself masturbating too frequently, often the trick to getting out of the situation is to eschew so-called "edging" and just bust a nut and get it over with. The sooner you do it, the sooner you'll move onto better things. My interest in sex tends to drop off post-orgasm, at least long enough to get some real work done instead. Your results may differ.

“Assigned male at birth” as opposed to saying: “born a man/woman but had a sex change”, this latter statement now mostly deprecated. The idea is: we're addressing people by their gender identity and not their biological genetic markers, which unless you plan to get intimate with someone, is no one's business in most circumstances, really. Given that so many of these people are willing to mutilate their genitals, surgically, and go on hormone therapy in an attempt to seek harmony between their sex and gender identity, I'm in zero position to question their convictions anymore than I'll question someone's orientation. I can't choose to be gay (or LGBTQ+) anymore than anyone else can. We are what we are. We can still be secure in our sexuality enough to modify our thinking a little bit and stop feeling threatened by people who are just trying to find their way through this shit world as best they can, same as anyone.

According to GLAAD, "transgender" is the correct term. It's better suited – one cannot change the chromosomes in their genetic material. Therefore becoming "transsexual" isn't technically possible, and it might plant an unrealistic expectation in people's minds. Again, to reiterate a point: gender is fluid and multivariate, sex however is binary. There are only XX and XY individuals. Similarly, there are only two types of genitals, or a very small minority who effectively have both, but there is no "third genital" type. I will admit though the terms pre-op and post-op are taxonomically useful. I'd probably avoid the ridiculous term, “she-male” which feels deprecated, too.

Also, this is not a political issue, before anyone gets started. Too many people conflate social conservatism/liberalism with fiscal conservatism/liberalism. If you're too religious, socially conservative, prudish, or uncomfortable accepting gay people and explaining gay couples to your children, you are capable of being a better parent than this; and most of all, please speak with your kids, parents out there. I'm not saying you gotta be all "woke" suddenly, just be mindful to set a tone such that your kid isn't afraid to speak with you about sexuality in an appropriate manner, nor thinks of you as a close-minded bigot or someone too afraid to talk honestly about human sexuality. I swear: society steals sex from us while we're children, hiding it until we're deemed "old enough", and then it's sold back to us all during young adulthood in the form of advertising under the notion "sex sells."

Yeah that rides. I don't mean to split hairs over buzz terms and so-called “politically correct” speech, whatever TF that ever truly meant. But words do matter, and as much as I hate to admit this, the concept of microaggressions is fairly legit.

Ever notice the term "pedophilia" (or the British way, "paedophilia") confuses the two Greek terms for love – pathos and eros. You see, pathos should be reserved for familial love and subject enthusiasm. Platonic love, so to speak.

In other words, audiophiles love high-fidelity audio. They don't want to rape expensive sound-equipment, turntables, speakers, and such. They just love that shit. Cinephiles love cinema, but they are not known for sodomizing movie reels and raping blu-ray discs, ya dig? If something is said to be hydrophilic that just means it loves water. Rape isn't mentioned or considered, AFAIK.

Eros is the Greek term for sexual love. Hence: “erotic”. So a pedophile should just mean a person who loves children in a non-sexual manner, like a teacher who loves children platonically, or a pediatrician who says treating kids keeps them youthful, or a guidance counselor who could be making more money in another field, but would rather help teenagers plot the course of their academic lives, etc. I think the term pedarist is better suited here, except it doesn't seem to include girls… Perhaps the definition should be expanded.

A completely useless point to make here other than to remind everyone that's why it's called a “minority”, and that's if you're even right. I disagree with your conjecture and personally would guess that people given to doing drag might question their sexual orientation and gender and probably have lots of friends and acquaintances who do as well. But this is just my speculation. Without knowing for sure I think it's best not to jump to these conclusions based on subjective factors alone.
Priest I like your style, succinct, rooted in verifiable fact and not agenda driven ...right on

Yup.
I was addicted to that combo long before studies came out about cocaethylene. Great high. I liked it a bit too much.
My downfall (and a short stint in rehab) was meth and spice; man it would get me super horny, but for everyone playing along at home, Russian Roulette with your head smoking the Spice. Retail outlets selling it should be blown up.

No, no, I'm Uno Delacosa. Priest (they called him) is someone else.

Hey @PriestTheyCalledHim are you by chance an ordained priest? That only just occurred to me…

EDIT: Nvm, this is a reference to the William S. Burroughs / Kurt Cobain work, I'm guessing…

But I thought you co-founded Apple w/Steve Jobs… ;)
J/k.
When you say spice, you mean K2 right?
Not DMT or, you know, actual peppers or basil and celery salt or something, right? Lol.
So…
Separately? No problem. Is that right?
Spice on its own? You got that, no issue.
Meth on its own? Mike Tyson might say, ain't nobody mething around.
HOWEVER!
Put them together and your libido gets the best of you, Jekyll-&-Hyde-style… is that it?

man it would get me super horny,
Sounds more like the meth than the spice, but what do I know? Some like it spicy (pun #2 hey ohhhh)

but for everyone playing along at home,
We're on a TV game show from the 1960s? Sweet. I thought I detected a weird sexual discomfort in the air

Russian Roulette with your head
Isn't all Russian Roulette “with your head”?

smoking the Spice.
Sounds like a Jamaican euphemism for getting baked on some potent red-haired bud.

Retail outlets selling it should be blown up.
Excuse me? Blown up how and for what reason exactly? Authorities have mostly shut down retail outlets and head shops selling this stuff. People order it online and through the dark web to avoid law enforcement, and just because you had a bad time with it doesn't mean we should all ban it for everyone else, you know… Prohibition doesn't work. And it's been tried for decades now and still fails. Let's give that up and move on already. Let's end global drug prohibition.

no need to be a jerk off about it,
Just trying to warn people as the reprobate who sold it to me continues to sell it from his outlet.
He's told me without it he'd have to shut shop, which is unfortunate as a small business owner but at what cost to people's health,
and essentially making him a big time dealer.

"Prohibition doesn't work...... Let's end global drug prohibition".

Decriminalize yes, not legalize.
But I get your point, my wife was watching COPS and it's scene after scene of busting recidivists
because it's all they want to know or awful victims of circumstance.

no need to be a jerk off about it,
nor any need for name-calling, jack-ass. … I'm joking :) the hypocrisy of such a reply = comedy to me.

Seriously though, lighten up. I'm trying to grant some levity here. Compulsive sexual behavior patterns are known to be associated with methamphetamine abuse disorders; whereas any connection between hypersexuality and synthetic cannabinoids is infrequently reported. So I think the "warning" you're issuing here should be one for meth in general, not uniquely the combination of meth with synthetic cannabinoids.

Just trying to warn people as the reprobate who sold it to me continues to sell it from his outlet.
Good word, but I'm not sure if you mean it as a term of endearment or criticism, possibly both? Regardless, the call to “blow up” his shop seems… super aggressive & Draconian, plus dangerous as well as illegal? Well, uncalled for anyway, even if used as hyperbole.

I agree: people should be cautious with mind-altering substances in general. Spice is no different. Also let's keep in mind you literally patronize the very outlet for Spice that you condemn and say should be blown up. Definitely kind of a “do as I say not as I do” approach you're taking there, just to hold up a mirror for a second.

He's told me without it he'd have to shut shop, which is unfortunate as a small business owner but at what cost to people's health,
True, but he's also not the Department of Health nor is he creating the demand for the product. I'm sure that's not the best dispensary for synthetic cannabinoids, although I feel like the onus for providing oversight is on the government. Ignoring the huge, growing, annual demand for recreational drugs cannot and should not be tolerated by the people. Attempts to suppress this demand rather than allow & regulate commerce to supply it in a sensible, responsible, safe, and harm-reductive manner are both futile and frustrating for all parties involved. Why are we not free to explore our own minds with psychotropic compounds? Nothing excuses criminal behavior regardless of the cause and suggesting that drug highs cause criminality is both insulting and heavily flawed logic.

Also I believe in personal responsibility. I think that in the absence of govt oversight, common knowledge and logic holds that adults (and, to an extent, adolescents) need to be responsible for their own health and weigh out the risks of using unregulated drugs for themselves, thus the importance of spreading accurate, impartial drug info.

and essentially making him a big time dealer.
Yeah well, that's crapitalism. Don't blame him, blame the shitty legislation that lead to the creation and proliferation of a vast, well funded blackmarket for contraband drugs while a huge annual demand for said drugs clearly exists and thrives. So it's nothing out of the ordinary in that sense. If he had a liquor store instead, people wouldn't bat an eye if selling booze is how he made his money, despite the existence of alcoholism. So acting as though "big time dealer" were a pejorative term here feels a bit disingenuous, don't you think? I mean unless we're going full socialist, communist, or anarchist across the globe, he's just playing the crapitalism game like any of us are.

It's no secret why and how drugs became illegal or the motivations of those who caused this prohibition in the first place. There's a book by Johann Hari called Chasing The Scream that traces the history of drug illegality, most of it stemming from the former head of the Bureau of Prohibition, Harry Anslinger. When (alcohol) Prohibition ended, he convinced the govt. of the need for a “Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs” (BNDD) to keep his high-ranking federal govt. job, and this Bureau merged with the Office of Drug Abuse Law Enforcement (ODALE) to become the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) on July 1, 1973 under President Dick Nixon (a red flag)). There's also the Iran-Contra scandal during the Reagan Era and of course the wording of the 13th amendment to the U.S. Constitution which bans slavery with the exception of prisoners. To wit:

> “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”

Now consider that Cannabis was named "Marijuana" and/or "Marihuana" by the U.S. govt. in an effort to associate it with Mexican foreigner immigrants in the U.S. They did the same thing associating Heroin and Cocaine to black jazz musicians in the early 20th century, and they tied psychedelic drugs to "scary, savage Indians" (read: Native Americans) during the 50s, 60s, and 70s, and, tellingly, they performed unethical human research on the effects of LSD in ascertaining its potential to be used as a mind control agent. On a roll of moral deficits, the U.S. govt. then introduced crack cocaine to minority neighborhoods in major urban centers in the 1970s and 1980s, arresting minorities in droves and setting up baby kingpins only to take them down a few years later on conspiracy and/or RICO charges, confiscate their sports cars and McMansions under forfeiture law, auction that shit off, and then… here's the best part… Ollie North blows the whistle and it looks like old man Reagan was giving the money made from these forfeiture efforts to the Sandinista rebels in Nicaragua (to thwart the spread of socialism/communism) and to Iraq (to thwart the Ayatollah and Shiites in Iran), with of course the stipulation that the money be spent on arms from American defense contractors like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, L3 Harris, etc.—private companies, do note. So all these GOP cronies profited from this business while exploiting—and, some might say, escalating—proxy wars.

Let's just say it was convenient for anyone involved in the scandal that Reagan purportedly developed Alzheimer's, and “couldn't remember” anything when questioned on the matter years later.

The profit incentive for certain powerful people to keep drugs illegal remains in place still to this day. And has any of this ever worked? The so-called "War On Drugs" has failed to demonstrate its own efficacy now for decades and we're no better off, but we're still wasting money on it while ruining lives.

"Prohibition doesn't work...... Let's end global drug prohibition".

Decriminalize yes, not legalize.
Decriminalization is the first step toward an inevitability. It would not be good if we parked things in neutral by just decriminalizing and calling it a day. Inevitably it will still carry stigma, and this leaves open fines for mere possession, on top of confiscations and possible court appearances, even if not a technical misdemeanor. Distribution and manufacturing would still be illegal of course until details over legal dispensation could be resolved. In the U.S.. state legalization of cannabis provides a really good insight as to what to expect, so it's not like we're in the dark. Portugal is another decent model to examine on the decriminalization tip.

Care to elaborate on why "not legalize"?

But I get your point, my wife was watching COPS and it's scene after scene of busting recidivists
because it's all they want to know or awful victims of circumstance.
Yes and the shame is that many people have been trained their whole lives to view drugs as being this bad, corruptive, evil force, and furthermore trained to see convicts as dangerous villains who deserved punishment and rehabilitation is an afterthought at best. This punitive approach is barbarism. The rehabilitative approach is the right way to go virtually every time if we're discussing non-violent individuals. People who are criminally violent sometimes need to be incarcerated for the safety of the public until it can be demonstrated they have full control over their tendencies, but that's another discussion.

To quote System of as Down: “All successful drug policy and research shows that treatment should be increased and law enforcement decreased while abolishing mandatory minimum sentences.”

Education is the number one factor in reducing recidivism, btw. Without a high school education/diploma or GED in the U.S. for example there's ~75% recidivism among inmates. This is reduced to 40% for those with at least a GED. Then it's like 15% for any vo-tech or higher education, 4% for those with a Bachelors, and less than 1% after that. Clearly, rehabilitation along with vocational training and addressing education deficits is the smarter approach. And given that it costs something like ~$25K/yr to house an inmate and seeing how education reduces recidivism so efficiently, it's in society's best interest—both for the drug-issue-afflicted and overall for the taxpayers—to decriminalize, legalize, regulate, and tax recreational drugs similar to how alcohol and tobacco are permitted now with reasonable restrictions pertaining to age and ID checks; manufacturing safety standards and their adherence, licensing, and enforcement; and reasonable luxury taxation, with "reasonable" being the key term.

As a bonus this also cuts funding to dangerous transnational criminal organizations who otherwise employ violence and breed fierce, deep-rooted corruption while they supply most of the blackmarket demand globally.
